A process control system utilizes wireless transceivers to divorce the field devices from traditional wired network topologies. By providing field devices with wireless transceivers and shared wireless transceivers for adapting wired field devices, the field device network may be adapted to any number of network topologies without concern for additional wiring costs. Specifically, a power supply can be provided for each field device or for groups of field devices, as needed. Thus, the entire network can receive power from a single power bus, without expensive power filtering. In addition, the network can be a hybrid in which part of the information is transmitted and received over wired lines and part is transmitted and received over wireless communications.

An exemplary parallel hybrid power filter apparatus for the electrified railway is described. The apparatus may include a group of LC reactive filter being purely tuned, an additional inductance, an active power filter and a coupling transformer. The active power filter may be controlled, e.g., as a current source in a composite control manner and can be connected in parallel to the additional inductance via the coupling transformer. The power filter can be connected to the reactive filter in series to form the parallel hybrid filtering system, and may be connected to the power grid via the circuit breaker or a thyristor. The invention discloses a digital switching power source with high light-load efficiency. The digital switching power source comprises an alternating current input power source, an EMI filter, a rectifier bridge, a pre PFC correcting circuit, a transformer, a post DC/DC conversion circuit, a sampling circuit, a first drive circuit, a second drive circuit, a first DSC and a second DSC. The light-load efficiency is improved by reducing the switching loss of a MOS pipe in the pre PFC correcting circuit, the switching loss of a MOS pipe in the post DC/DC conversion circuit and the magnetic core loss of an inductor on the condition of light loads. A device, system and method for a backup power supply are disclosed herein. The backup power supply may use at least one ultra capacitor to store a voltage. The present invention relates to a control method for a soft switch circuit in a switch power supply, which controls first and second main power switch devices to be turned on and turned off constantly to generate an alternating main power filter current, and controls forward and backward auxiliary switch devices to be turned on and turned off to generate an intermittent alternating resonant current across a resonant branch in the same direction as the main power filter current to thereby achieve zero-voltage turn-on of the first and second main power switch devices; and further controls the forward and backward auxiliary switch devices to be turned on and turned off to generate compensation currents across the resonant branch in the opposite direction to the alternating main power filter current in at least a period of time during resting of the resonant current to thereby accomplish a charging and discharging process of resonant capacitors in a dead time. Thus, a freewheeling diode can be turned on normally, so that it is possible to avoid a damage to the devices due to an impact current and a spark voltage resulting at zero crossing of the current in the soft switch circuit.

The present invention discloses a control method for a soft switch circuit in a switch power source, which generates an alternating primary power filter current by controlling first and second primary power switching devices to be closed and opened, and generates an intermittent alternating resonant current in the same direction as the primary power filter current in a resonant branch by controlling forward and backward auxiliary switching devices to be closed and opened to thereby achieve closing of the first and second primary power switching devices at a zero voltage, and which generates a balance current with the same magnitude as and in the opposite direction to the resonant current in the resonant branch in at least a period of time during the resting of the resonant current by further controlling the forward and backward auxiliary switching devices to be closed and opened to thereby achieve an average current of zero across the resonant branch in a switching cycle. Without any additional balance circuit, this control method can address the imbalance problem of output power of the positive and negative direct current input voltage sources in a soft switch circuit of an existing switch power source.
