The computing device can prompt the user to complete a task in the virtual environment while adhering to a set of vision safety protocols. Using varying combinations of eye-tracking sensors, eye-tracking cameras, motion-tracking sensors, handheld devices, and microphones, the VR headset collects data about the user as she completes the task. Optionally, algorithms in the computing device can assess the efficacy of the vision safety protocols based on the user's performance of the task and recommend changes to the vision safety protocols that increase workplace safety and efficiency. Optionally, the computing device can cause the virtual hazards to be changed.
