System and method for removing threads from discussion groups based on ratings of the individual posts within the thread. If a user takes the time to rate a post positively, then the post (and the thread) is considered to be useful to the entire community and should not be deleted. To rate the post, a window is displayed to the user whenever the post is open and queries the user whether the post is useful. A positive rating rates a delete date associated with the post. If there is not positive rating of a post, the thread may be considered useful if the originator of a post marks the post as being answered, in which case delete clock is reset. If however, none of the posts within the thread are rated positively, then the thread is considered not be useful and deleted.

One or more reflectance modifying agent (RMA) such as a pigmented cosmetic agent is applied selectively and precisely with a controlled spray to human skin according to local skin reflectance or texture attributes. The dispenser further comprises an actuator and piston assembly including a piston receivable within the bore, a manually-engageable actuator connected to the piston for moving the piston between first and second positions relative to the bore to dispense substance within the bore through the outlet aperture, and an integral, dome-shaped spring coupled to at least one of the piston and the actuator for biasing the piston in a direction from one of the first and second positions toward the other.

Apparatus and method for delivering a predetermined quantity of content from a pressurized container include a container for housing a pressurized gas and a content; a valve for releasing content from the container; a metering chamber in fluid communication with the container and the valve and having an upper wall and a lower wall, the metering chamber defining a volume proportionate to a predetermined quantity of content to be delivered; and a movable partition comprising a seal positioned in the chamber and capable of moving from a first resting position to a second sealing position, the sealing position sealing fluid communication of the chamber with the valve. When the valve is opened to deliver content from the container, the movable partition moves from a first resting position to a second sealing position.

A miniaturized fluid dispensing system for dispensing customized fluids. The dispenser may include first and second reservoirs containing constituent fluids; a drive motor; at least two pump assemblies commonly driven by the drive motor and in communication with the first and second reservoirs; first and second valve assembly in communication with the first and second pump assemblies; and a control system for selectively controlling the valve assemblies to blend and discharge a composition from the constituent fluids. The system may include a dispensing header to house the valves and to define ‘discharge’ and ‘recirculation’ flow paths for each constituent fluid. The present invention also provides a method for dispensing a fluid regimen (e.g. a plurality of compositions) by periodically blending and discharging varying compositions over time.

The device includes a composition held in a container or a substrate and an applicator configured to apply the composition. The applicator includes an application surface that includes an application surface material with at least one of a thermal inertia of at least 1,000 Jm⁻²K⁻¹s^−1/2 and a thermal conductivity greater than or equal to 1 Wm⁻¹K⁻¹. The method includes providing an applicator, cooling the applicator to a temperature below or equal to 15° C., and loading the cooled applicator with a cosmetic composition at a temperature closer to an ambient temperature than that of the applicator, and applying the composition using the applicator, or before or after the cooling, applying a cosmetic composition, and after the cooling, bringing the cooled applicator into contact with the area to be treated.

The skin care apparatus includes a main body; a vessel being replaceable with a new one and installed in the main body for containing skin care materials; a head portion provided at one end of the main body; a material spraying member ins tailed in the head portion and provided with at least one spray hole formed through the plate surface thereof for spraying the skin care materials; a connection pipe for connecting the spray hole of the material spraying member to the vessel; a brush member detachably connected to the head portion for discharging the skin care materials sprayed from the spray holes to the outside; a vibration member for selectively vibrating the brush member; and a switching unit for selectively operating the vibration member and opening and closing the spray holes of the material spraying member. The skin care apparatus has a simple structure, is easily portable and used anywhere at any time, and increases skin care efficiency.

A single use applicator for applying an adhesive material, particularly for medical use, includes a semi-rigid base strip having a longitudinal direction, and a reservoir containing an adhesive material, the reservoir being secured to one side of the base strip. The base strip is arranged to be folded about an axis substantially perpendicular to the longitudinal direction such that a portion of the reservoir is ruptured and pressure is applied on the reservoir to expel the adhesive material from the ruptured reservoir. In embodiments, the base strip has a hole formed therethrough and a projection corresponding to the hole formed on one side thereof. The reservoir is disposed over the hole on a side of the base strip opposite the one side on which the projection is formed. When the base strip is folded, the projection extends into the hole to apply pressure on the reservoir.
