Relative quantification of metabolites by Electrospray Ionization Mass Spectrometry (ESI-MS) requiring a mechanism for simultaneous analysis of multiple analytes in two or more samples. Labeling reagents that are reactive to particular compound classes and differ only in their isotopic kit facilitating relative quantification and providing tangible evidence for the existence of specific functional groups. Heavy and light isotopic forms of methylacetimidate were synthesized and used as labeling reagents for quantification of amine-containing molecules, such as biological samples. Heavy and light isotopic forms of formaldehyde and cholamine were also synthesized and used independently as labeling reagents for quantification of amine-containing and carboxylic acid-containing molecules, such as found in biological samples. Advantageously, the labeled end-products are positively charged under normal acidic conditions involving conventional Liquid Chromatography Mass Spectrometry (LC / MS) applications. Labeled primary and secondary amine and carboxylic acid end-products also generated higher signals concerning mass-spectra than pre-cursor molecules and improved sensitivity. Improved accuracy concerning relative quantification was achieved by mixing heavy and light labeled Arabidopsis extracts in different ratios. Labeling strategy was further employed to ascertain differences in the amounts of amine-containing metabolites for two strains of Arabidopsis seeds.

The present invention provides a power source system that increases the power supply capacity of a power source device and continuously supplies the power necessary for a load device when a power source device stops. A control unit has a state quantity setting unit that sets a first target state quantity indicating a state of charge of the power storage device that is to be a target value when charge and discharge of the power storage device are controlled. When the power source device stops, the state quantity setting unit can change the first target state quantity to a second target state quantity that is to be a target value exceeding the first target state quantity and can increase the target state quantity of the power storage device. As a result, when the power source device stops, charge and discharge of the power storage device are controlled on the basis of the target state quantity exceeding that during the operation of the power source device. Therefore, the state of charge of the power storage device can be improved over that during the operation of the power source device. As a result, the power supply capacity of the power source device can be increased and the power necessary for the load device can be continuously supplied, in place of the power source device.

The system consists of a solar cell panel, a Boost type direct current (DC)/DC circuit, a Buck type alternating current (AC)/DC circuit, a digital signal processor (DSP) control system, an intelligent control switch, a change-over switch and a detection circuit. The direct current transmitted by a photovoltaic cell array is subjected to maximum power point tracking through the Boost circuit; and meanwhile, the charging current of the storage battery is intelligently adjusted by adjusting the operating current of the DC/DC circuit, and according to the system, the AC and DC charging of an electric automobile can be realized through on-off control. When a photovoltaic power generation system does not work or the charging current is insufficient, the AC can be automatically switched to charge the storage battery through the intelligent switch, and the good operating state of the storage battery is guaranteed at any time. When the photovoltaic charging post is in grid-connected use on the household photovoltaic roof, the off-peak adjusting function of the power grid can be realized through the storage battery of the electric automobile; and when the photovoltaic charging post is in off-grid independent use, the capacity of the storage battery is configured according to actual conditions.
