A method of deploying a prosthesis includes restraining the prosthesis within a distal end of a sheath. A slide ring of a handle is rotated to initiate retraction of the sheath. In this manner, the prosthesis is initially very gradually released. The slide ring is then slid to complete retraction of the sheath and to deploy the prosthesis. In this manner, the sheath is easily and quickly retracted thus rapidly completing deployment of the prosthesis. Rapid deployment of the prosthesis facilitates faster procedure times, thus minimizing the period of time during which blood flow is occluded.

One or more lock members are movably disposed on the bezel and contact a slip-preventing part provided on the case body. A manually rotatable holding ring engages with the lock members and is rotatable in one direction to increase the contact pressure between the lock members and the slip-preventing part to thereby prevent unintended rotation of the bezel, and is rotatable in the other direction to decrease the contact pressure to thereby permit manual rotation of the bezel by overcoming the frictional force exerted by the elastically deformed gasket. In this manner, inadvertent rotation of the bezel is prevented by structure other than the gasket thereby preventing undue wear of the gasket.

The present mechanism allows for smooth opening and closing of the blade by limiting friction against the blade as it rotates. This knife has a bearing system for low friction blade rotation. Also the leaf strap lock is arranged so that it only comes into contact with the blade at the start of opening and at the end of opening, further limiting the friction forces against the blade. Provided is also an adjustment wedge to remove blade lock slop. In the manufacturing process loose tolerances can be adjusted out using the adjustment wedge. Normal use wear against the stop pins and handles can cause some looseness of the blade which can also be removed by the adjustment wedge.

To provide a portable timepiece capable of suppressing a bezel from carelessly rotating and deviating, without impairing a rotation operability of the bezel. An annular bezel is rotatably disposed around an annular protrusion part of a case band to whose inner periphery there is attached a cover glass. A gasket made of an elastic material, which makes the bezel stationary to a desirable rotated position with respect to the case band, is interposed between the bezel and the case band under a state giving a frictional force to these. A holding mechanism, which holds the bezel to a stationary state with respect to the case band and can release this holding state, is provided separately from the gasket. By this, a rotation operability of the bezel is made light by restricting the rotation of the bezel by means of the holding mechanism to thereby suppress a careless rotation of the bezel and thus by the fact that the gasket is caused not to bear a function suppressing the rotation of the bezel.
