The invention discloses a water-borne three-body trash cleaning ship and a cleaning method. The three-body trash cleaning ship uses a three-body ship as a carrier, and consists of a recovery cabin, a collecting cage, a sling device, a side supporting net, a water pump, a water spraying thruster, a nozzle and the like. The water pump sucks a large quantity of water from a water inlet, most of the water is delivered to the water spraying thruster so as to be used for pushing a ship body to advance, a small quantity of water is delivered to the nozzle above the side supporting net and used for driving trash and aquatic plants in front of the trash cleaning ship to a place in front of the collecting cage, simultaneously, water flow, which rearwards moves relative to the ship body, in front of the ship body automatically drives the trash into the collecting cage, and after a certain quantity of trash is stored in the collecting cage, the sling device hangs and conveys the collecting cage to a position above the recovery cabin so that the trash is poured into the recovery cabin. One-step trash cleaning area is large, secondary pollution is avoided, equipment is simple in installation and maintenance, and the water-borne three-body trash cleaning ship is particularly suitable for cleaning large-range trash and aquatic plants in lakes and short sea.
