Implantable prosthetic valve systems and methods for implanting them are provided. Magnets are employed within one or more components of the valve systems to facilitate anchoring of the prosthetic valve at a target implant site, delivery of the prosthetic valve to the target implant site or both.

An endoscopic aspiration device is mounted on a manipulating head of an endoscope, from which an elongated insertion rod member is extended forward, the endoscopic aspiration device being composed of a valve casing which is mounted on the manipulation head in communication with an aspiration passage running through the insertion rod member, and a valve assembly unit including a valve member, a valve guide member and a connector member attached to the valve guide member to communicate same with a proximal aspiration passage on the side of a suction source. The valve member is put in a sliding displacement along the valve guide member to bring the aspiration passage into and out of communication with the proximal aspiration passage on the side of a suction source. The valve guide member is coupled with the valve casing through a coupling mechanism which permits to turn the valve assembly unit on and relative to the manipulating head. The coupling mechanism is arranged to perform a function of coupling and uncoupling the valve guide unit with and from the valve casing, and a function of locking the valve guide member in the valve casing to prevent spontaneous dislodgement from the latter.

A valve assembly includes a valve body and a valve actuator which is releasably engageable with the valve body. The valve body has an internal cavity within which a valve member is located, and a valve stem is interconnected with the valve body and is accessible from the exterior of the valve body. The valve body further includes a mounting member, and the valve actuator is selectively engageable with the mounting member. The valve actuator includes a latch member which is movable between a latching position and a release position. The mounting member includes a slot, and the latch member has a blocking member that is received within the slot when the latch member is in its latching position, to prevent removal of the valve actuator from the valve body. The latch member is manually movable to a release position, in which the blocking member is removed from the slot in the mounting member to enable the valve actuator to be disengaged from the mounting member. The valve actuator includes a motor which drives a gear assembly for selectively imparting rotation to the valve member. The motor is secured to a mounting member such as a mounting plate. The mounting plate includes one or more walls that are exposed to the exterior of the valve actuator, such that heat from operation of the motor is conducted via the mounting plate away from the motor to the one or more walls for dissipation into the surrounding environment.

A two-piece RF interference shield and method of manufacturing the same that is cost efficient and easily adapted for use with existing electrical devices. The RF shield includes a bottom portion mounted to the circuit board and a top portion which fits onto the bottom portion. The RF electrical interference shield can be mounted to circuit boards (e.g., by soldering) to prevent electrical components from causing RF interference. The RF shield of the present invention also allows for easy removal of the top of the RF shield so as to provide access to the interior for rework or repair of the electrical components covered by the shield, without having to unsolder the bottom portion of the shield. The two-piece shield for shielding an electrical component comprises a top portion and bottom portion that are fitted together so as to enclose the electrical components to be shielded. The top and bottom portions snap together, e.g., by way of barbs located on one of the portions that fit into corresponding holes or slots located on the other portion.

The instrument includes a bulb syringe, a shaft and a head configured to sealingly engage an acetabular liner to create a sealed area between the acetabular liner and the head. The bulb syringe is used to create a vacuum in the sealed area and/or to force air into the sealed area. After the acetabular liner is placed into an acetabular cup, the vacuum is released and/or air is forced into the sealed area to force the acetabular liner off of the head.

An improved exercise device in the nature of a kettlebell. The device has a frame covered by a shroud that is configured to lessen the impact of the device on the user. There are a plurality of weights that can be easily attached and detached from the frame to increase or lessen the load to the user. The weights are designed so that they can be added or taken away without altering the center of gravity of the device or the external physical shape of the device. There is also a base that holds the device while the weights are being changed and which also interacts with the device to assist in that exchange. The attaching and detaching system includes a pin that is used to affix the weights to the frame. A dual locking system assures that the pin does not inadvertently come loose during use of the device.
