Optimized liquid-phase oxidation

Disclosed is an optimized process and apparatus for more efficiently and economically carrying out the liquid-phase oxidation of an oxidizable compound. Such liquid-phase oxidation is carried out in a bubble column reactor that provides for a highly efficient reaction at relatively low temperatures. When the oxidized compound is para-xylene and the product from the oxidation reaction is crude terephthalic acid (CTA), such CTA product can be purified and separated by more economical techniques than could be employed if the CTA were formed by a conventional high-temperature oxidation process.

Method of recovering carbon dioxide from a synthesis gas stream

A method of recovering carbon dioxide from a synthesis gas stream generated within a facility having a synthesis gas reactor, a water-gas shift reactor and a steam generation system for generating steam for the synthesis gas reactor and for export. After the synthesis gas stream is passed through at least one process heat exchanger of the steam generation system located downstream of the water-gas shift reactor, the temperature of the synthesis gas stream is increased while simultaneously adding steam to the synthesis gas stream. Thereafter, the synthesis gas stream is added to an absorption system having an absorption zone utilizing a solvent to absorb the carbon dioxide and a regeneration zone to disengage the carbon dioxide from the solvent and thereby regenerate the solvent. Heat is transferred from the synthesis gas stream to the regeneration zone to promote disengagement of the carbon dioxide from the steam and such that between about 40 percent and about 90 percent of the carbon dioxide originally present in the synthesis gas stream is recovered. The temperature of the synthesis gas stream can be increased and steam can be added thereto by mixing superheated steam with the synthesis gas stream. Alternatively, a synthesis gas stream can be introduced into a saturator utilizing a water stream that undergoes indirect heat exchange with a low pressure steam stream.

The present invention relates to removable and / or replaceable liners for use in a wide variety of footwear. Liners may be permanently connected to the collar of the shoe, or may be semi-permanently attached for easy removal from the collar. The liners can be quickly removed from the interior of the shoe using any number of disengagement devices. Removing the liner from within the shoe permits rapid drying of the liner when it becomes wet due to moisture generated by the foot within the shoe or from external environmental conditions. Semi-permanently attached liners can be detached for cleaning or for replacement by another liner depending on the needs of the wearer. Disengagement means can be provided in conjunction with the liner, which enable the wearer to easily pull the liner out of the shoe.

Substrate transfer apparatus, substrate processing apparatus and holding table

A loader includes a receiving section for receiving a FOUP (front opening unified pod), an opener for transporting substrates out of the FOUP, and a transport robot for transporting the FOUP between the receiving section and the opener. When the opener transports the substrates out of the FOUP, the FOUP is placed on a holding table. The holding table is formed with a notch permitting a transport arm of the transport robot to pass through vertically. Thus, the downward passage of the transport arm with the FOUP held thereon through the notch allows the direct transfer of the FOUP from the transport arm to the holding table. This reduces the time required for the FOUP transfer operation, to provide a high throughput, thereby providing a substrate transfer apparatus capable of achieving a high throughput.

Work vehicle multi-coupler with breakaway feature

ActiveUS20170202128A1Facilitates controlled disengagementFacilitate disengagementAgricultural machinesPipe elementsEngineeringCoupling
A multi-coupler assembly for a work vehicle includes a first bank of fluid connectors, a second bank of fluid connectors configured to matingly engage the first bank of fluid connectors along a coupling axis, and a coupler mechanism coupled to the first bank of fluid connectors. The coupler mechanism is controllable to bring the second fluid connector bank into mating engagement with the first fluid connector bank. A breakaway feature is integrated into the coupler mechanism. The breakaway feature facilitates controlled disengagement of the first fluid connector bank from the second fluid connector bank along the coupling axis during a breakaway event, such as when an implement inadvertently detaches from the work vehicle. The breakaway feature may permit controlled disengagement of the first and second fluid connector banks without requiring movement of the coupler mechanism.

Vehicle seat

Vehicle seat including: a seat back pivoted to a side of floor; a seat cushion pivoted to the seat back; and a front leg element having an upper end pivoted to the seat cushion and a lower end pivotally locked to the side of floor in a releasable manner, thus normally providing a four-pivotal-point linkage in the seat. Maintaining the four-pivotal-point linkage adversely restricts design and actions of the seat. Inequality conditions are therefore set in that four-pivotal-point linkage, such that folding down the seat back by an angle exceeding a predetermined angle results in unlocking of the lower end of the front leg element from the side of floor, thereby destroying the four-pivotal-point linkage. Hence, a freedom of design is increased for the seat and floor. Further, leverage mechanism(s) may be provided to facilitate the ease of unlocking the front leg element from the side of floor.
