Provided is a planar inverted-F antenna (PIFA) which has a Co-Planar Waveguide (CPW) feeding structure and can be attached to a metal surface, and an RFID tag using the same. The PIFA includes a radiation patch layer; a Co-Planar Waveguide (CPW) feeding layer; a feeding probe; and a short-circuit. The CPW feeding layer includes a feeding means and a ground surface. The feeding probe electrically connects the radiation patch layer and the feeding means and provides a Radio Frequency (RF) signal to be radiated to the radiation patch layer. The short-circuiting means short-circuits the radiation patch layer and the ground surface through the dielectric layer. The PIFA can be applied to a passive RFID tag. Impedance matching between the antenna and the RFID chip is possible. Also, the PIFA can easily control resonant frequency of the antenna and reactance.

The invention provides a new detection metric that achieves a reliable detection of watermarks in the presence of additional noise and echoes. In a clinical environment, random coincidences are often acquired with a delayed coincidence technique, and expected randoms are estimated through variance reduction (VR) of measured delayed coincidences. In this paper we present iterative VR algorithms for random compressed sinograms, when previously known methods are not applicable. Iterative methods have the advantage of easy adaptation to any acquisition geometry and of allowing the estimation of singles rates at the crystal level when the number of crystals is relatively small. Two types of sinogram compression are considered: axial (span) rebinning and transaxial mashing. A monotonic sequential coordinate descent algorithm, which optimizes the Least Squares objective function, is investigated. A simultaneous update algorithm, which possesses the advantage of easy parallelization, is also derived for both cases of the Least Squares and Poisson Likelihood objective function.

A large round baler includes a combined tensioning and ejecting arrangement comprising a tensioning arm assembly mounted to an upper front region of the baler sidewalls. A non-linear key or keystream generation algorithm using multiple feedback shift registers is provided. The feedback shift registers may be constructed utilizing an advanced mathematical construct called an extended Galois Field GF(2m). The key or keystream is generated as a non-linear function of the outputs of the multiple feedback shift registers, which may be a combination of static feedback shift registers and dynamic feedback shift registers. Dense primitive polynomials with many coefficients may be used to produce a cryptographically robust keystream for use as an encryption or decryption key.
