619 results about "Monitor function" patented technology

The monitor function. The monitor function is often part of a control loop, such as the automation behind keeping a steady level in a tank. The monitor function will keep an eye on a critical value, such as pressure, temperature, level, and so on, and compare the current value against predefined threshold values,...

Enterprise management system

A Managed Site (10), a logical network entity, is composed of a number of Sub Sites (20) in a one to many relationship. A Sub Site (20) is a logical component, which is composed of a number of Engines (30). Nodes (40) similarly relates to their Engine (30) in a many to one relationship. A Node (40) is a collection of Managed Elements (ME's) (50) (while being an ME (50) itself), which represent network state information. The subsite (20) consists of the engine (30) connected to server nodes (40). One or more clients (110) are connected to the management engine (30) and access management engine (30) information relating to managed elements (50) including nodes (40). The connected manager engines may communicate with one another so that, for example, in the event of a failure, one of the manager engines remaining on line commences monitoring of manage elements assigned to the failed manager engine. Upon accessing the manager engine (30), the client interface displays relationships among managed elements (50) using meaningful connectors and tree-like structures. In addition to basic managed element state monitoring functionality, the manager engine (30) provides a variety of automated tasks ensuring the health of the network and optimal failure correction in the event of a problem. For example, the manager engine (30) performs root cause analysis utilizing an algorithm tracing through manged element (50) relationships and indicating the source of the failure.

Method of monitoring link performance and diagnosing active link state in ethernet passive optical network

Provided is a method of monitoring link performance and diagnosing an active link state without interrupting traffic in an Ethernet passive optical network (EPON) while the link is in the active state. The method of monitoring link performance and diagnosing an active link state without interrupting data flow to logic links which are in active states in the EPON, includes: a) allowing an operator of the EPON to select a link performance monitoring function or a link active state diagnosing function; b-1) if the link performance monitoring function is selected, setting a monitoring cycle timer and periodically transmitting a performance information request frame from a local node to a remote node; b-2) if the remote node receives the performance information request frame, collecting corresponding link performance information and transmitting a response frame from the remote node to the local node in a format which is predetermined in accordance with a corresponding frame format; b-3) if the local node receives the response frame from the remote node, analyzing the performance information of the response frame and determining whether the link performance has deteriorated or if a failure has occurred in the local node; b-4) if the deterioration of the link function or the degree of the failure reaches a predetermined threshold, reporting to an upper layer that a failure has occurred.

System and method for monitoring browser event activities

The present invention is directed toward providing a system for monitoring events occurring on a networked browser while the browser is processing web page-based transactions and information, wherein the data from the monitoring process is sent to a computer other than the browser on which the transactions are executing and other than the computer from which the transaction was downloaded. Exemplary embodiments of the invention are directed toward a system and method for invoking a monitoring function on a network computer, including the steps of accessing a web page from a web server, updating the web page by inserting a script tag in the web page, wherein the script tag includes location information for a function for monitoring events on a network computer other than the web server, and storing the updated web page on the web server. An alternate embodiment is directed toward a system and method for monitoring events on a network computer, including the steps of downloading a web page from a web server to a client browser within a network, wherein the web page includes a script tag identifying a location of a monitoring function; retrieving the monitoring function based on information in the script tag; invoking the monitoring function to monitor an event on the client browser; and sending monitored data to a measurement computer, wherein the measurement computer is a computer other than the web server.

Method for processing sampling value of digitalization protection test control apparatus

The present invention relates to a sampling value processing method of integrative device based on a sampling value interface, which is used for protecting and monitoring a digital substation. The method is characterized in that the sampling value interface module of the integrative device is used for real-time judgment on the effectiveness and rationality of sampling values which are transmitted from an incorporating unit; the secondary Lagrange interpolation are calculated for a small quantity of broken or lost sampling values; a window function is used for designing a high-order FIR digital filter which is used for filtering the sampling values; the on-line parameters of the threshold and the filter are regulated in a self-adapting way according to the parameters of conventional data sets transmitted by the sampling values; the protection function is resampled by adopting a secondary Lagrange algorithm of fixed frequency according to the requirements of protecting and monitoring functions; the monitoring function is first processed by iterative computation of frequency; the real-time resampling frequency s regulated according to the signal frequency; the sampling values are resampled by adopting the secondary Lagrange algorithm according to the novel sampling frequency, thus the processing method not only satisfies the requirements of protection and application, but also improves the measurement accuracy.
