The method comprises the following steps:determining field measurement areas and positions of measurement points, wherein the measurement areas are selected in a manner of dividing a target measurement land into four along the midlines of the length and width directions and randomly selecting two diagonal areas as two deter measurement areas, each measurement area being a sample, and the measurement points are determined in each measurement area by use of a five-point sampling method; and extracting soil in a plough layer in each measurement point by use of a shovel, loading the soil in a plastic woven bag, carrying the soil near tonatural water, pouring the soil into an iron sieve, performing cleaning to remove the soil, sand and doped non-plastic substances such as crop straws and leaves, simultaneously cleaning a residual mulching film, air- in the shadow or drying with a drying oven the residual mulching film to constant weight, then weighing the residual mulching film by use of a balance, and calculating the residue amount of the mulching film. According to the method, the residue amount of the mulching film in the southern damp soil can be accurately measured, a measurement result is accurate, time is saved, and the labor intensity is reduced.
