Secure data exchange technique

Techniques utilizing common encryption approaches for data from multiple parties enable those parties to discover information that is held in common by the parties without disclosing to any party information that is not held in common by the parties. Encrypted information for each party can be compared to determine which encrypted values match, and those encrypted values can be returned to any of the parties such that a party can determine which corresponding data the parties have in common, without having access to any other data of any other parties.

Method and apparatus for identifying and resolving conflicting data records

A method and apparatus for identifying and resolving conflicting data records are disclosed. The individual data fields of a master record are compared with the corresponding data fields of each source record in a particular data set. For each, one of various matching algorithms is used to assign a field matching score indicating the extent to which the data in the two data fields matches. The particular algorithm used to determine the extent of a match and to assign the corresponding score is dependent on the type of the data field. Once all of the data fields for a particular source record have been analyzed, the sum of the field matching scores is tallied to determine an overall record matching score for that particular source record.

Document processing device and document processing method

An object of the present invention is to provide a document processing device and document processing method that can provide a search result satisfactory to a user with respect to WWW documents in which a number of links among WWW documents is low and a number of accesses by users is low. System and method for matching objects belonging to hierarchies

An improved system and method for matching objects belonging to hierarchies is provided and an optimal matching between two feature spaces organized as taxonomies may be learned. The matching may be performed through a multi-level exploration of the hierarchical feature spaces by using multi-armed bandits where the arms of the bandit may be dependent due to the structure induced by the taxonomies. Upon the arrival of an object assigned to the first taxonomy, multi-armed bandits may be run at multiple levels of the taxonomies to select an object assigned to the second taxonomy. Then shrinkage estimation may be performed in a Bayesian framework to exploit dependencies among the arms by estimating payoff probabilities from a beta-binomial model to update payoff probabilities for matching objects from the taxonomies.

Comparing sets of character data having termination characters

Multiple sets of character data having termination characters are compared using parallel processing and without causing unwarranted exceptions. Each set of character data to be compared is loaded within one or more vector registers. In particular, in one embodiment, for each set of character data to be compared, an instruction is used that loads data in a vector register to a specified boundary, and provides a way to determine the number of characters loaded. Further, an instruction is used to find the index of the first delimiter character, i.e., the first zero or null character, or the index of unequal characters. Using these instructions, a location of the end of one of the sets of data or a location of an unequal character is efficiently provided.

Fighting detecting method based on stereoscopic vision motion field analysis

InactiveCN102880444AOvercome the effects of adverse conditionsJudgment of severity is reasonableData comparisonHuman bodyMotion vector
The invention relates to a fighting detecting method based on stereoscopic vision motion field analysis. The method is as follows: an object human body is extracted according to the motion vector field and the depth map of the object; by taking the motion vector field as the main characteristic, the entropy of a cumulative histogram within a certain time is calculated out based on a block statistics cumulative motion vector direction histogram; a motion intensity degree evaluation strategy is planned according to the depth information of the object by calculating the average motion vector intensity in the block; and finally, the disorder and intensity degree evaluation scores are combined to obtain the probability of fighting behavior, through the time and space accumulation, when the probability of the fighting behavior is continuously greater than a threshold value, then the fighting behavior is confirmed. The fighting detecting method can filter the motion vector calculation errors caused by scene illumination variation and object blocking under the monitoring environment. The intensity degree judgment is more reasonable according to the scene depth information, and the robust detection result is obtained after the analysis of the time and space distribution by establishing the fighting probability model.
