Light-emitting tetradentate gold (III) compounds for organic light emitting devices and preparation thereof

A series of cyclometallated tetradentate ligand gold(III) compounds with high rigidity and high luminosity are designed and synthesized. The cyclometallated tetradentate ligand gold(III) compounds can be used as light emitting materials for manufacturing light emitting devices. The cyclometallated tetradentate ligand gold(III) compounds can be deposited as a layer or component of a layer using solution processing techniques or vacuum deposition methods. The cyclometallated tetradentate ligand gold(III) compounds are robust and can provide high efficiency and brightness electroluminescence. More importantly, the vacuum-deposited OLEDs show high operational stability with a long operational half-life of over 188,000 hours. –2 with a long operational half-life of over 188,000 hours.
