This invention relates to the field of fireboat water pump installation technology, specifically to a method for installing a water-spraying propelled fireboat's water pump. The method includes: S1. Initially positioning the water
inlet channel on the
hull plate, allowing the outlet
flange of the water
inlet channel to extend into the
pump chamber; S2. Placing a dummy pump fixture in the
pump chamber, the dummy pump fixture including a dummy pump body, with dummy pump feet at the bottom of the dummy pump body. The dummy pump feet are first anchored to the outlet
flange of the water
inlet channel using locating pins, and then fixed with bolts; a dummy pump shaft, which is a round tube, is installed on the top of the dummy pump body; S3. Butt-
welding the water inlet channel to the
hull plate, monitoring the relative position changes of the dummy pump shaft and the steel wire in real time; S4. After
welding the water inlet channel, marking the center line of the dummy pump shaft, disassembling the fixture from the outlet
flange of the water inlet channel, replacing the fixture with the actual pump, and completing the water pump installation. This installation method avoids inaccurate positioning due to
welding deformation of the water inlet channel causing the center line of the water inlet channel to shift, which in turn leads to the shift of the pump shaft center line, thus improving the positioning and alignment accuracy.
