A response curve for a reflection coefficient S11 associated with the resonant structure is generated, typically by the use of a network analyzer connected to the resonant structure via a cable. A minimum point for the response curve is identified to detect the resonant frequency for the resonant structure. A calibration map is applied to the minimum point to identify a temperature associated with the resonant frequency of the resonant structure. The temperature associated with the resonant frequency of the resonant structure represents the temperature of the high temperature environment.

A biomass pyrolysis oil is used as a co-feed for a heavy petroleum oil coking process to improve the operation of the coking process and to utilize biomaterial for the production of transportation fuels. The coking process may be a delayed coking process or a fluidized bed coking process and in each case, the presence of the biomass pyrolysis oil will decrease the coke drying time while reducing coke handling problems in the unit besides forming a superior coke product. In the case of a fluidized bed coking process using a gasifier for the coke, the addition of an alkali metal salt improves the operation of the gasifier.

A method and an arrangement are provided for reducing a NOx-content in the exhaust gas of an internal combustion engine in a vehicle. The combustion engine includes at least one cylinder, an intake for the supply of air, an exhaust outlet for discharging exhaust gases into an exhaust after treatment system for reducing emissions of the internal combustion engine. An exhaust gas recirculation supplies exhaust gas from the exhaust outlet to the intake of the internal combustion engine, and at least two energy absorbers are provided in series in the exhaust flow downstream of the exhaust outlet and absorb energy of the exhaust gas. The exhaust gas is overheated to a first temperature by driving the combustion engine in a range of rotational speed producing hot exhaust gas at the exhaust outlet. The first temperature is sufficient to drive the at least two energy absorbers. A temperature of the exhaust gas is established downstream of the at least two energy absorbers sufficient to remove NOx from the exhaust gas in the exhaust after treatment system with an efficiency of more than 80%.

A method and apparatus are provided for hydraulic fluid supply between a hydraulic pump and a hydraulic drive unit, switching hydraulic fluid flow direction to the hydraulic drive unit or stopping hydraulic fluid flow to the hydraulic drive unit when measured hydraulic fluid pressure crosses a predetermined pressure threshold value. The apparatus for practicing the method further includes a pressure sensor associated with a hydraulic fluid supply conduit between the pump and the drive unit, and an electronic controller programmed to operate the drive system according to the method.

In order to reduce oscillations in process variables of an injection molding process, a variable-gain proportional-integral-derivative (PID) controller is utilized to control one or more of the process variables. The injection molding system may also include a tuning controller to automatically tune at least one of the proportional, integral, or derivative gains within a mold cycle. The tuning controller may obtain sensor data that monitors the operation of the injection molding machine to determine an adjustment to at least one of the proportional, integral, or derivative gains. The tuning controller may adjust the gains of the variable-gain PID controller in accordance with the determined adjustment to the at least one of the proportional, integral, or derivative gains.

A steering connection assembly is provided that interconnects a towed implement with a tow vehicle. A system and method for enhanced operation of an electric vehicle having a main battery for powering an electric drive motor by which the vehicle is drivable, including at least one air intake device operable, in forward motion of the vehicle or when the vehicle is stationary, to capture and channel air in flow through the intake device to at least one turbine adjacent to an outlet end of the air intake device to drive the turbine(s) to generate a first electrical energy at a first energy level and/or including one or more photovoltaic solar panels integrated with or adjacent to one or more body components of the electric vehicle and the one or more photovoltaic solar panels is/are adapted to generate a/the first energy at a/the first energy level. A secondary battery pack connected to an electrical energy outlet of the turbine(s) and/or photovoltaic panels receives the electrical energy generated by the turbine(s) and/or photovoltaic panels. A first auxiliary electric motor is drivable by the secondary battery pack for rotating an output shaft of the first auxiliary electric motor. A second auxiliary electric motor having an input shaft connected to the output shaft of the first auxiliary electric motor has an output terminal connectable to the main battery of the vehicle. A transmission couples the output and input shafts and provides a rotational speed step up from the first to the second of the auxiliary electric motors, whereby the second auxiliary electric motor is drivable to generate a second electrical energy, at a second energy level higher than the first energy level, able to be supplied from the output terminal of the second auxiliary electric motor to the main battery and/or the drive motor of the vehicle.

To solve this problem, the hydraulic circuit of the work vehicle comprises two valve groups for loader and back hoe having circuits to supply the pressure oil from one hydraulic pump P1 to a valve group 150 for back hoe control through a valve group 130 for loader control and the pressure oil from the other hydraulic pump P2 directly to the valve group 150 for back hoe control. The pressure oil is independently supplied from the hydraulic pumps P1 and P2 to valve sections 152 for controlling right and left stabilizer cylinders installed in the valve group 150 for back hoe control.

A tightening structure of a musical instrument stand includes stationary or immovable member and a movable member. The movable member includes a cylindrical shaft extending outward in an axial direction. One side of the immovable member has a recess. A bottom of the recess forms a semi-circular arc with a radius of curvature corresponding to that of the shaft. When the shaft is inserted into the recess it abuts against the bottom of the recess. The immovable member has a screw hole communicating with the recess. The screw hole is perpendicular to the axial direction of the cylindrical shaft. A fastening bolt is screwed into the screw hole. One end of the first fastening bolt is inserted into the recess and has a flared end portion to press against the shaft, and another end is connected with a handle. By rotating the handle, the flared end portion is drawn against the shaft, thereby rendering the movable member stationary.
