The invention discloses a
radioactive source detector which comprises a shell, a circuit board in the shell, and a rechargeable battery which supplies power to the circuit board. A G-M counter, a
GPS positioning module, a
data processing module, an RFID shortwave communication module, a
GSM wireless communication module, an RS485 communication module and a power
supply management module are integrated in the circuit board. The searching method of the
radioactive source detector comprises the steps that (1) the
radioactive source detector is installed on a radioactive source
storage tank, (2) the radioactive source detector sends information to other
electrical equipment through an RS485
serial port, (3) the radioactive source detector sends an RFID
signal to the periphery and receives a feedback
signal at the same time, (4) after loss, the radioactive source detector sends an RFID
signal to the periphery and searches the feedback signal sent by other
radio equipment, and sends data to a monitoring center at the same time. According to the radioactive source detector and the searching method, the positioning speed and accuracy of a lost radioactive source can be improved, and thus the harm to an environment and a
human body by the loss of the radioactive source is reduced.
