Non-cylindrical prosthetic valve system for transluminal delivery

InactiveUS20070043435A1Preventing substantial migrationEliminate the problemBalloon catheterHeart valvesCoronary arteriesProsthesis
A prosthetic valve assembly for use in replacing a deficient native valve comprises a replacement valve supported on an expandable prosthesis frame. If desired, one or more expandable anchors may be used. The prosthesis frame, which entirely supports the valve annulus, valve leaflets, and valve commissure points, is configured to be collapsible for transluminal delivery and expandable to contact the anatomical annulus of the native valve when the assembly is properly positioned. Portions of the prosthesis frame may expand to a preset diameter to maintain coaptivity of the replacement valve and to prevent occlusion of the coronary ostia. The prosthesis frame is compressible about a catheter, and restrained from expanding by an outer sheath. The catheter may be inserted inside a lumen within the body, such as the femoral artery, and delivered to a desired location, such as the heart. When the outer sheath is retracted, the prosthesis frame expands to an expanded position such that the valve and prosthesis frame expand at the implantation site and the anchor engages the lumen wall. The prosthesis frame has a non-cylindrical configuration with a preset maximum expansion diameter region about the valve opening to maintain the preferred valve geometry. The prosthesis frame may also have other regions having a preset maximum expansion diameter to avoid blockage of adjacent structures such as the coronary ostia.

Antenna system for tracking satellite

Provided is an antenna system for tracking a satellite which includes a fixed body and a rotating body. The antenna system includes a transmitting / receiving unit having a transmitting channel and a receiving channel for signal power, a driving unit for enabling mechanical motion of the rotating body for satellite tracking, and a control unit for monitoring and controlling the operation of the driving unit. Accordingly, the various kinds of the components of the antenna system mounted and operated on the movable body can be minimized and the output of the transmitted signal required in the antenna system can be simply replaced, thereby simplifying the configuration of the system and reducing the production cost of the system. In addition, the STR having the tracking signal processing function in the digital mode as well as the general analog mode is mounted on the antenna system, thereby improving accuracy of satellite tracking. Moreover, the posture of the antenna system can be stably maintained regardless of the motion of the movable body in the moving environment by using the driving unit and the control unit which are designed for stably controlling the elevation, azimuth and antenna rotating angle, thereby improving communication performance that is the intrinsic object of the antenna system.

Modulization-based method for designing reconfigurable machine tool

The invention relates to a modulization-based method for designing a reconfigurable machine tool, including the following steps: firstly, establishing a module based on parametric design; secondly, researching a module code system, and utilizing the theory of genetic algorithm to carry out the systematic coding of each module; thirdly, carrying out the optimization design of each module to optimize the structure of each coding module; fourthly, carrying out the operation of topology, utilizing the graph theory to design the reconfigurable functional topological structure to express the topological relation of the functions, and selecting the topological structure of the reconfigurable machine tool; fifthly, automatically assembling the modules, establishing a parameterized module library according to the selected topological structure of the reconfigurable machine tool, and selecting mechanical modules from the module library to form the entire reconfigurable machine tool by assembly; and sixthly, evaluating and researching the performance of the machine tool from the aspects of technical performance and economic performance. The method fast meets the variable requirements of part manufacturing by the module configuration, and provides the redundancy-function-free machine tool, thereby realizing the optimization of function and cost.
