The invention relates to a method for evaluating the operation of a secondary loop of a metering device, and the method comprises the following steps: 1) collecting original data of the secondary loop of an on-site metering device through a remote metering device on-lie monitoring system, and uploading the original data to a data server of an upper PC; 2) classifying the original data through the upper PC, and building a mathematic mode for the operation evaluation of the secondary loop of the metering device according to the classified original data; 3) evaluating the operation of the secondary loop of the metering device according to the built mathematic mode for the operation evaluation of the secondary loop of the metering device, obtaining the final health index HI of the secondary loop of the metering device, predicting the operation tendency of the secondary loop of the metering device according to the final health index HI, and carrying out early warning. Compared with the prior art, the method is scientific and reasonable, is large in specific number of research objects, covers a wide range, is systematic, and is intelligent.
