A golf club grip system having grips that have grip diameters ranging from 1.0 inches (25.4 mm) to 1.2 inches (30.5 mm). Additionally, each golf club grip may include an outer wrap and an inner layer. The outer wrap is substantially thinner than the inner layer and consists predominantly of polyurethane and felt. Specifically, in one exemplary embodiment, the outer wrap consists of two separate layers of polyurethane, a layer of felt, and two thin strips of adhesive tape.
