A foldable solar panel comprises multiple rigid cell assemblies, multiple folding cell assemblies and multiple primary flexible seams. Each folding cell assembly has two symmetric folding cell assembly halves and a flexible secondary seam. The symmetric folding cell assembly halves are adjacent to each other. The secondary flexible seam connects adjacent symmetric folding cell assembly halves and allows them to fold inward onto each other. A primary flexible seam connects a rigid cell assembly to an adjacent folding cell assembly to form an absorbing surface. The primary flexible seams and secondary flexible seams facilitate folding the foldable solar penal to a small volume to facilitate transportation or storage, and effectively keep the absorbing surface from being damaged.

Method for ranging to a station in power saving mode

A network based positioning (NBP) system is disclosed that allows any of its access points (APs) to initiate ranging operations with a station device (STA), regardless of whether the STA is in power save mode and regardless of whether a particular AP is currently associated with the STA. For example, to initiate ranging operations with the STA from a non-associated AP, the non-associated AP obtains the TSF timer of the associated AP, and then uses the obtained TSF timer to derive the associated AP's beacon transmission schedule and thereby determine when the STA's corresponding wake-up periods occur. Thereafter, the non-associated AP can initiate ranging operations with the STA during the STA wake-up periods, thereby ensuring that probes sent from the non-associated AP will arrive at the STA while the STA is awake from power save mode.

Systems and methods in support of data base page synchronization

Systems and methodologies are provided for enforcing a set of conditions such that prior to a commit stage of a transaction, a space availability for a particular page can be typically assured (e.g., that transactions operating on various copies of the page do not consume all of storage space on that page), and reorganization of data around the page is mitigated (e.g., that a transaction need not move data around the page for purpose of merging various copies.) A page aggregator and a heap manager can facilitate operations of concurrent transactions at a subpage level (e.g., a row level), during such modifications of a data base by multiple users.

An armrest for vehicle seat is provided, whose armrest body has a region so configured as to surround a connecting portion by which the armrest is rotatably connected with a seat back of the seat, wherein a cubic trim cover assembly of the armrest is formed with a local side defined on and along such region of armrest body. Formed in such local side of trim cover assembly is an injection hole for allowing injection of a liquid foaming material into the inside of trim cover assembly, so that the injection hole itself is not exposed outwardly of the armrest body, thus keeping the user away from contact with an objectionable spot originating from a part of liquid foaming material that has been leaked through the injection hole and cured there during a foaming process. The connecting portion may include a tubular bearing, and the injection hole may be formed at any point in that particular local side for coaxial alignment with the tubular bearing, during the foaming process, so that an injection nozzle may be introduced through the tubular bearing precisely into the injection hole.

System for warning a failure to wear a seat belt

ActiveUS7061375B2Without excessively annoying the vehicle operatorAnnoyance to the vehicle operator may be minimizedBelt control systemsOptical signallingLow speedSeat belt
In a system for warning a failure to wear a seat belt to urge a vehicle operator to wear the seat belt, a sound emitter is activated when a vehicle speed is higher than a threshold level and the seat belt is not fastened. The sound emitter cyclically alternates between a sound emitting state and a silent state when activated, the silent state lasting for a period of at least three seconds each time. Because the silent state is interposed between sound emitting states and because the warning is not emitted when traveling for a short period of time at a low speed, for instance, in a parking garage or the like or when the vehicle is stationary, the annoyance to the vehicle operator is minimized while allowing the vehicle operator to be kept warned.

Circuit board with heat radiating sheet

A circuit board has a copper foil layer provided on one side thereof, a tin layer provided on a top of the copper foil layer, and a heat radiating sheet provided on the tin layer. When the circuit board is processed in a reflow oven, the tin layer is melted to associate with the copper foil layer and the heat radiating sheet. High amount of heat produced by electronic elements mounted on the circuit board during operation thereof is absorbed by the copper foil layer and then transmitted to the tin layer, which quickly transfers the absorbed heat to the heat radiating sheet that has a large radiating area, so that the heat is more quickly dissipated into air. A heat pipe may be embedded in the tin layer to enhance the radiating efficiency, so that the electronic elements on the circuit board always have a normal operating temperature.
