This invention discloses a rapid propagation method for the endangered orchid *
Cymbidium goeringii* via
tissue culture, belonging to the field of
plant tissue culture technology. The method includes
capsule sterilization and aseptic seed
germination, protocorm proliferation, protocorm differentiation, rooting culture, and
transplantation of
tissue culture seedlings. Its key feature is that protocorm proliferation induction uses MS medium containing 0.05 mg / L–1.0 mg / L TDZ, and protocorm adventitious
bud induction is continuously performed on the same medium without the need for transfer or medium change. This invention is the first to apply TDZ to the rapid propagation
system of *
Cymbidium goeringii*, achieving both proliferation and differentiation steps on the same medium, greatly simplifying the operation process and reducing costs. Protocorm proliferation is 5–6 times after 21 days of culture, and can reach more than 15 times after 60 days, with high rooting and transplant survival rates; the
survival rate reaches 98% after 30 days of
transplanting. This method is simple to operate, has a
short cycle, a high propagation coefficient, and low cost, making it suitable for large-scale industrial
seedling production and of great significance for the protection and sustainable utilization of *
Cymbidium goeringii*
germplasm resources.
