meniscus surgery simulation method. The method comprises the steps that the
knee joint of a patient suffering from discoid
meniscus is subjected to CT and MRI scanning; CT and MRI data is processed, and a three-dimensional skeleton model and a three-dimensional
cartilage,
ligament and
meniscus model are obtained; the three-dimensional skeleton model and a three-dimensional
cartilage,
ligament and meniscus model are subjected to registration, and coordinate positions of skeletons,
cartilage, ligaments and menisci are generated; the three-dimensional skeleton model and the three-dimensional cartilage,
ligament and meniscus model are subjected to
surface reconstruction, and skeleton, cartilage, ligament and meniscus NURBS surface models are obtained, the skeleton, cartilage, ligament and meniscus NURBS surface models are assembled according to the anatomical structure, and a knee-joint
entity model is generated; the diseased region in the discoid meniscus is excised on the knee-joint
entity model so as to simulate trimming
surgery. According to the technical scheme, the
surgery process can be simulated for the diseased region of the
knee joint of the patient, and doctor-
patient communication is enhanced.
