A telecommunications cable and separator spline are disclosed. In one embodiment the cable comprises a cable jacket defining an elongate cable core, a conductor assembly comprising four twisted pairs of conductors disposed along the core and a plurality of parallel elongate localised and like distensions in an inner surface of the cable jacket. The distensions are substantially evenly spaced about an inner surface of the cable jacket and prevent the conductor assembly from coming into contact with the inner surface. In particular embodiment, the distensions are the result of a series of filler elements placed between the cable jacket and the cable core and which wind helicoidally along and about the cable core. The separator spline is comprised of first and second elongate dividing strips having a substantially H shaped cross section and arranged side by side. The spline twists helicoidally along its length. In particular embodiment the separator spline and the insulation surrounding the twisted pairs of conductors is manufactured form a material having the same dielectric constant.

The preparation method comprises following steps: (1) weighing and dissolving a binder in a solvent, vacuum stirring for 1 to 10 hours to obtain a homogenous solution; (2) adding solid electrolyte powder to the solution prepared in the step (1), vacuum stirring for 1 to 12hours to obtain a solid electrolyte-binder-solvent mixture; (3) evenly coating the mixture prepared in the step (2) on the surface of the battery anode electrode, obtaining a solid electrolyte coating layer, which has a dry thickness between 2 and 5 [mu]m, after the mixture dries; (4) rolling the whole anode electrode prepared in the step (3) with a roller machine, and obtaining the lithium ion battery coating pole piece. The preparation method adds a solid electrolyte layer between the electrolyte liquid and the electrode active material, so that in the situation that active material lithium ion de-intercalation is not affected, contact between active material and electrolyte liquid can be effectively prohibited, oxygenolysis of electrolyte liquid under high voltage is reduced, and battery circulation lifetime is increased.

The waterproof decking is decking made from extruded panels for forming a watertight deck assembly. First side, second side, and intermediate panels are provided, each having complementary edges for mating with other corresponding panels. One edge of the first side and intermediate panels is provided with a drainage gutter and the tongue or groove of a tongue and groove connection, with mating edges of the second side and intermediate panels being provided with the mating tongue or groove configuration. The decking includes a depending drip rail which serves to wedge tightly against the opposite wall of the gutter of the adjoining panel to prevent relative motion between the two, and also to prevent capillary flow of liquid across the underside of the panel where it could leak into the area below. Additional sealing may be provided along the tongue and groove joints.

A grip heater has a tubular insulator that is designed to slip over a handlebar and has two interposed pairs of helical recesses. Each pair of helical recesses is formed by two parallel helical grooves and accommodates a heating element; the heating elements can have different resistances to provide differing degrees of heat when selectively connected to a voltage source. Preferably, the pairs of recesses overlap such that the heating elements reside in alternating grooves and cross over each other. The heating elements can be connected to a common ground to allow replacement of existing three-wire grip heaters. When a common ground is employed, the heating elements are preferably isolated where they cross.

The protective layer may comprise a material that is essentially non-reactive with the molten material to be conveyed. Further, the nozzle assemblies according to various non-limiting embodiments disclosed herein may be heated, and may be self-inspecting. Methods and apparatus for conveying molten materials and / or atomizing molten materials using the nozzle assemblies disclosed herein are also provided.

Provided are methods of passivating active materials for use in electrochemical cells as well as active materials and cell components prepared using such methods. Active material particles may be combined with passivating material particles, and this combination may be mixed together using high shear mixing. The mixed combination may not include any solvents or binders. As such, drying mixing may be performed on this combination of the active material particles and passivating material particles. A passivating layer is formed on the active material particles during mixing. This passivating layer later prevents direct contact between the active material particles and the electrolyte while still allowing ionic exchange. Furthermore, the passivating layer may increase electronic conductivity between active material particles in an electrode. The passivating layer may be mechanically bonded to the surface of the active material particles rather than chemically bonded.

Method for forming a self aligned isolation trench

The present invention relates to methods for forming microelectronic structures in a semiconductor substrate. The method includes selectively removing dielectric material to expose a portion of an oxide overlying a semiconductor substrate. Insulating material may be formed substantially conformably over the oxide and remaining portions of the dielectric material. Spacers may be formed from the insulating material. An isolation trench etch follows the spacer etch. An optional thermal oxidation of the surfaces in the isolation trench may be performed, which may optionally be followed by doping of the bottom of the isolation trench to further isolate neighboring active regions on either side of the isolation trench. A conformal material may be formed substantially conformably over the spacer, over the remaining portions of the dielectric material, and substantially filling the isolation trench. Planarization of the conformal material may follow.

Shock improvement ramp for load/unload mechanism and magnetic disk drive

Embodiments of the invention prevent contact between a peripheral edge of a magnetic disk and a counter surface of a ramp when the magnetic disk is displaced. In one embodiment, a ramp is disposed near the peripheral side surface of a magnetic disk. The ramp has magnetic disk retainers each having slide surfaces and counter surfaces respectively facing the recording surfaces of the magnetic disk. Grooves or recesses are formed in the counter surfaces to define relief spaces. When the peripheral side surface of the magnetic disk is displaced toward the counter surface by shocks exerted on the magnetic disk drive, the relief space prevents the peripheral edge from coming into contact with the counter surface. Thus the amount of particles produced by the collision of the magnetic disk with the ramp can be reduced.
