In telecommunication, the term routing indicator has the following meanings: In a message header, an address, i.e., group of characters, that specifies routing instructions for the transmission of the message to its final destination. A Routing Indicator is a group of letters assigned to identify a station within a tape relay network to facilitate routing of traffic. It indicates the status of the station and may indicate its geographical area. The following factors are reflected in routing indicator assignment: National or international affiliation and service of the station. The geographical area in which the station is located or area from which it is served. Network status of the station, i.e., major or minor relay, or tributary stations. Routing indicators consist of not less than four, and not more than seven letters, including suffixes. The intent of allocated letters and of letter position is as follows: First Letter - The letter R or the letter “Q” appears as the first letter and distinguishes strategic/world-wide routing indicators from call signs, address groups and theater routing indicators.

Methods and systems for identifying AUSF and accessing related keys in 5G ProSe. The AUSF corresponding to a remote UE is identified by an AMF based on routing indicator or SKI. The AUSF is capable of key management of ProSe UE-to-Network relay communication. The AUSF authorizes the remote UE to access a 5G core network through one or more UE-to-network relays. The authorization of the remote UE is performed based on a SUPI corresponding to the remote UE. The SUPI is obtained from a UDM. Once the remote UE is authorized, the AUSF can derive keys that enable the remote UE to access the 5G core network through the one or more UE-to-network relays. The keys derived by the AUSF 803 can be referred to as authentication keys. The derived keys include REAR key, KNR_ProSe, KD, and KNRP.

In a method, the first network device receives, from a second network device, a request for discovery of one or more third network devices to serve a terminal device, wherein a request for the discovery includes at least one of a routing indicator, a service identifier, a manufacturer identifier or an electronic product code identifier associated with the terminal device. The first network device further sends, to the second network device, a response for the discovery, wherein the response for the discovery includes one or more identifiers of the one or more third network devices, based on mapping of the at least one of the service identifier, the manufacturer identifier or the electronic product code identifier to the one or more identifiers of the one or more third network devices.

Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to routing table selection based on alternative routing indicators. In some examples, a computing device includes a virtual computing entity and a virtual network interface between the virtual computing entity and a network external to the computing device. The computing device stores a first routing table for routing packets addressed to the virtual network interface, and a second routing table for routing packets addressed to another interface in the computing device that is different from the virtual network interface. Based on the packet satisfying the packet filter rule, the computing device associates the packet with an alternative routing indicator of the IP flow specifying that IP subnet conflicts between the IP subnet of the virtual network interface and the IP subnet of another entity are resolved using the first routing table instead of the second routing table.

In some examples, a computer device contains a virtual processing unit (VPU) and a virtual network interface between the VPU and a network outside the computer device. The computer device stores a first routing table used for routing packets destined for the virtual network interface and a second routing table used for routing packets destined for a different interface, distinct from the virtual network interface in the computer device.Based on a packet that satisfies a packet filter rule, the computer device assigns an alternate route indicator for an IP flow to the packet, where the alternate route indicator specifies the use of the first routing table instead of the second routing table to address an IP subnet collision between an IP subnet of the virtual network interface and an IP subnet of another entity.
