Modulator and modulation method for a wireless data transmission device

The invention concerns a modulator (M) for data transmission between a transponder and a base station, which amplitude modulates and/or phase modulates a received electromagnetic carrier signal as a function of data to be transmitted, having a control input at which a modulation control signal is present, having a rectifier (GL) circuit for rectifying the received electromagnetic carrier signal which has at least one rectifier stage (S1-S3), having at least one switching device (SE) which is controllable through the modulation control signal and whose output side intervenes in at least one rectifier stage of the rectifier circuit, and by means of which a reference voltage can be applied to at least one node (H1-H3) of said rectifier stage. The invention further concerns a transponder with such a modulator and a modulation method for operating such [a modulator]. Devices for Estimating Regional Metabolic Rate of Organs Based on Heat Generation and for Estimating Regional Blood Flow(s) for the Volume(s) of Tissue Perfused

The present application provides systems that include a controller, and an insertion device with at least one temperatures sensor thereon and a pump coupled to the controller. The insertion device provides temperature measurement(s) at / of a subject's organ to the controller and the controller varies an infusate flow rate to induce temperature changes in at least a portion of the subject's organ and stores the temperature measurements during perfusion induced temperature changes on a memory device. The controller may estimate at least one hemodynamic characteristic of at least a portion of the subject's organ based on the temperature measurements obtained during perfusion induced temperature changes.

Personalized intervention based on machine learning of behavior change states

A system provides an intervention for a user and comprises at least one processor. The system monitors behavior and context of a user to generate a behavior history. One or more models are utilized to determine an intervention for the user to induce a behavior modification, wherein the one or more models map interventions to user context and behavior and utilize the behavior history to determine an effective intervention for the user. The intervention is provided to the user and feedback is received in response to the intervention. The one or more models are updated based on the feedback. Embodiments of the present invention further include a method and computer program product for providing an intervention to a user in substantially the same manner described above.

Broadband ventilation and sound insulation window unit structure and application thereof

The invention relates to a broadband ventilation and sound insulation window unit structure and application thereof. The broadband ventilation and sound insulation window unit structure comprises an inner resonant cavity (1), a hollow pipe (2) and a thin-wall shell (3); the outer wall of the hollow pipe (2) is fixedly connected with the inner resonant cavity (1); the outer edge of the inner resonant cavity (1) is sleeved with the thin-wall shell (3); the inner resonant cavity (1) comprises a plurality of layers of hollow cylinders which are arranged on the outer wall of the hollow pipe (2), are stacked up and down and have the same structure and size; the outer edge of the bottom of each layer of hollow cylinder is provided with a horizontal partition plate (11) of an annular structure; and each layer of horizontal partition plate (11) is provided with a circumferential partition plate (4) and a radial partition plate (5) which are used for dividing each layer of resonant cavity into a plurality of resonant spaces. Compared with the prior art, the structure has the advantages that the sound insulation effect is improved, the working frequency band is wide, effective sound absorption can be improved while efficient sound insulation is achieved, and the application range is wide.

Appliance for distributing a precut wiping material that is rolled up or folded in a Z shape

The machine includes a housing receiving an articulated cover closed by raising it and a module which accommodates a pre-cut wound strip of material. The module has a flap located opposite the inner face of the cover and articulated relative to the module, and a device enabling pulling on the end of the strip. The module enables positioning and articulation of the flap, and includes a support plate for the device. The device includes a vertically arranged pusher which slides in a controlled, limited manner relative to a face of the support plate. The pusher has a lower gripping and contact part and an upper end that forms a cam. A roller of the device cooperates with the upper end of the pusher. The pusher cooperates with the flap. The device acts on the flap to ensure its rearward swivelling to allow un-jamming and strip emergence from the machine.
