Rendering resources associated with a project are stored in a project resource pool at a rendering service site, and for each rendering request received from a client site the project resource pool is compared to current rendering resources at the client site. A given rendering resource is uploaded from the client site to the rendering service only if the project resource pool does not contain the current version, thereby conserving bandwidth. In one embodiment, redundant generation of raw rendering resource files is avoided by only generating those raw rendering resource files not mated with generated rendering resource files. Reducing redundant generation of raw resources is also described, as well as statistically reducing the number of raw resource files required to be uploaded to the rendering service for multi-frame sessions.

A retortable container and an easy-opening closure for hermetic sealing of an open end thereof. The closure includes a metal end ring adapted to be double seamed to an open end of the retortable container, an intermediate area extending radially inward and defining an opening to an interior of the container, and a folded area folded into the interior of the container. The folded area extends radially outward from the opening and substantially parallel to at least an adjacent portion of the intermediate area. A first membrane patch overlaps and is bonded to an under side of the intermediate area of the end ring such that the first membrane patch prevents contamination of contents of the container by the metal end. A second membrane patch covers the opening and is bonded to an upper side of the first membrane patch. Microwell-cultured pluripotent cells remain viable and undifferentiated for several weeks in culture and maintain undifferentiated replication when passaged to Matrigel®-coated, tissue culture-treated polystyrene dishes. Microwell-cultured pluripotent cells maintain pluripotency, differentiating to each of the three embryonic germ layers. Pluripotent cell aggregates released from microwells can be passaged for undifferentiated replication or differentiated to monodisperse EBs. The ability to constrain pluripotent cell growth in three dimensions advantageously provides for more efficient, reproducible culture of undifferentiated cells, high-throughput screening, and the ability to direct pluripotent cell differentiation by generating monodisperse EBs of a desired size and shape. Cardiomyocyte-rich EBs are obtained from pluripotent cells cultured in microwells of defined size and shape.

The process for producing dialkylnaphthalenes contains the steps (1), (2), (3), and (4): (1) 1st step which is for catalytically hydrodealkylating a stock oil containing a substantial amount of naphthalene and/or alkylnapthalenes, separating a product oil form a product gas, and separating and recovering a fraction composed mainly of naphthalene and/or methylnaphthalene from the product oil; (2) 2nd step which is for catalytically alkylating or catalytically transalkylating the fraction, recovered in the 1st step, composed mainly of naphthalene and/or methylnaphthalene directly without pretreatment for purification, with an alkylating agent or transalkylating agent to prepare alkylnaphthalenes; (3) 3rd step which is for separating and recovering dialkylnaphthalenes from the alkylnaphthalenes obtained in the 2nd step; and (4) 4th step which is for returning at least a part of the residual fraction, after the separation and recovery of dialkylnaphthalenes in the 3rd step, as at least a part of the stock oil in the 1st step and/or at least part of the alkylating agent or transalkylating agent in the 2nd step to the corresponding step.
