An apparatus for persuading an orthopedic rod into position in an orthopedic device such as an implant or coupling element is disclosed. The apparatus includes a body, a pusher member and a trigger slidingly coupling the pusher member to the body. The pusher member includes a slide and sleeve attached to the slide. The sleeve includes at least one pusher bar. A ratchet controls the translation of the pusher member along the body to urge the rod into position in the orthopedic device. The pusher member and body define a cannula so that a fastener may be inserted once the rod is in position. The apparatus is operable via a single hand. In addition, a method of urging an orthopedic rod into a recess of an orthopedic device using the rod persuader is provided.

A uterine manipulator includes a sound and a body. The sound has a selectively actuatable anchor disposed proximate a distal end and an operating mechanism spaced from the anchor for controlling actuation of the anchor. The body has a passage therethrough adapted to receive the sound passed proximally through the body to a position in which the operating mechanism is accessible proximally of the body and the anchor extends distally.

The aperture allows air and the lather formed by brushing with a cleanser to pass through the head element, thereby increasing the lather and facilitating the passage of bacteria and food buildup away from the surface of the tongue, and provides a conduit for the passage of air and water through the head element during cleaning of the tongue hygiene device, expediting and simplifying cleaning of the tongue hygiene device and hastening drying of the bristles.

A hand-holdable vacuum cleaner comprising: a motor coupled to a fan for generating air flow; a battery pack housing at least one rechargeable cell for powering the motor; a body with a handle; a dirty air duct with a dirty air inlet; and a dirt separating means located in a path of the air flow generated by the fan, wherein the dirt separating means comprises: a hollow substantially cylindrical dirt container with a longitudinal central axis arranged transverse the body; and an air inlet port to the dirt container, wherein the air inlet port is in communication with the dirty air duct, wherein the dirt container is rotatingly connected to the body to pivot, with the battery pack, about the central axis between a folded position and an extended position diametrically opposed to the folded position.

A collapsible cross-arm dolly for conveyance of weighted articles. The dolly consists of an upper arm (20) and a lower arm (24) of square metallic tubing, with each formed with a horizontal offset center portion (22) and (26) and with a pair of casters (30) that are attached at each end of both arm's lower surface. The horizontal offset center portion (22) is formed in opposite hand or mirror image of each other, thus permitting them to nest together and are both oppositely flattened to allow nesting on the same horizontal plane. A portable, hand-held device is employed to clean the tongue. The device includes a housing configured to be grasped by a user during a tongue cleaning procedure, a fibrous brush configured to clean tongue surfaces as the brush is moved against the surface of the tongue, and a motor assembly configured to vibrate the brush as the brush is moved against the surface of the tongue.
