The United States of America consumes nearly 20 million barrels of oil a day, 6.6 billion per year. This depleting chemical composition, in part, ends up in our air, on our trees, on our clothing, in our lungs, in our blood streams. A large portion of this oil is imported causing a dependency on foreign countries and a significant economic burden to this country. Clean, renewable, domestic energy is a necessity, not a luxury.
