Apparatus for flow detection, measurement and control and method for use of same

A flow sensor having an inlet and an outlet comprising: a plate moving in response to fluid flow therethrough, being displaced further as flow increases; a sensor for determining moving plate's position and creating an electronic signal related thereto; a biasing means for biasing the plate towards the sensor's inlet end. The sensor may include a sealing means for preventing flow therethrough until a specified differential pressure is reached allowing the device to be used as a bypass mechanism. The sealing means may also constitute a check valve means to prevent flow in an undesired direction. The check means comprises: a bullet rod adapted to be received within an orifice defined in a moving plate, such that the bullet rod prevents flow through the orifice until the moving plate is displaced past a terminal end of the bullet rod; and a plate means sealingly and slidingly received within a cylinder, which is closed for a portion of its length and open for another portion of its length, such that flow is prevented until the plate is displaced past the closed portion of the cylinder. The method using the sensor in multipurpose piping systems includes use of the apparatus in a system incorporating at least one fire sprinkler, the piping system also preferably providing at least one other use in the structure. The other use in the structure may be supplying domestic needs, or supplying heating/cooling water for a heating/air conditioning system.

Dust explosion prevention integration system

The invention provides a dust explosion prevention integration system. The system comprises a main control unit, an explosion suppression system, an explosive-proof system, an explosion venting systemand a spark detection and fire extinction system. The explosive-proof system comprises a mechanical automatic explosive-proof system, a passive two-way explosive-proof valve and a passive one-way explosive-proof valve. The explosion venting system comprises an explosion venting sheet, a flameless venting device and a spring-type flameless venting valve. The main control unit is connected with theexplosion suppression system, the mechanical automatic explosive-proof system and the spark detection and fire extinction system and controls the explosion suppression system, the mechanical automatic explosive-proof system and the spark detection and fire extinction system, and the explosion suppression system and the explosive-proof system or the explosion venting system can be combined for use. The dust explosion prevention integration system mainly adopts the explosion suppression system, the mechanical automatic explosive-proof system, a two-way passive explosive-proof system, the explosion venting system and the spark detection and fire extinction system and adopts proper safeguard procedures for explosion prevention on the basis of existing danger zones with dust explosion and thelike.

A multi-channel pipe-type line type heat fire detector

The invention relates to a multi-channel tubular linear temperature sensing fire detector which is characterized in that a detection circuit is connected with a current collector via a common joint; two common terminals of the current collector respectively are connected with input terminals of a metal gas pump and a pressure sensor; the other terminal of the pressure sensor is connected with a reference chamber; the pressure sensor is connected with a CPU via a first circuit; the CPU is connected with a multi-channel signal output terminal via a third circuit, and with a linear stepped micromotor via a second circuit; and a pressure emulation generator and the current collector are disposed on a mounting plate which is fixed in a box body. The invention can be used for early detecting overtemperature of various industrial devices or articles in a harsh environment, monitoring abnormal temperature due to spark, self-combustion, etc. and combining with an automatic fire extinguishment system. Alarm temperature, temperature raising rate and sensitivity of the fire detector can be set and regulated. The invention has the advantages of reduced engineering device numbers, increased protection area, lowered device investment, and reduced artificial mounting cost.
