The present invention provides a wireless ad hoc network suitable for sharing data on a peer-to-peer basis between nodes, some of which may be aircraft, having a terminal device comprising a wireless communications transceiver, a sensor, and a computing device. Multiple hops between nodes maximize range of the network. In addition, architectures for terminal devices allow for use of a wide variety of wireless communications transceivers and sensors, without affecting applications that use the network. Such invention may include, among others, a fire fighting application allowing different aircraft to co-ordinate firefighting activities by using shared fire and positional data for aircraft.

The product is thixotropic and comprises water, one or more flame retardants, one or more stabilizers, and one or more preservatives. In some embodiments, the product further comprises one or more thickeners, one or more binders, one or more fining agents, one or more firming agents, one or more water retention agents, one or more polymers, one or more detergents, and/or one or more surfactants. The invention relates to a track inspection robot system comprising an inspection robot, a firefighting robot, and a center management platform. A firefighting apparatus is adapted for use in a host aircraft comprising a fuselage defining an interior and an exterior. The firefighting apparatus includes a pressurizeable retardant tank disposed in the interior of the host aircraft, the retardant tank being capable of roll-on and roll-off installation, an ejection tube in fluid communication with the retardant tank, and a door plug for mounting within a fuselage orifice in the host aircraft. The door plug provides for fluid communication of retardant from the retardant tank through the ejection tube to the exterior of the host aircraft. The invention discloses an additive for firefighting water, which is formed by the following raw materials by weight percent in a mixing way: 5-10 percent of fluorocarbon surfactant, 40-50 percent of foaming agent, 3-10 percent of penetrating agent, 5-10 percent of fire retardant, 3-5 percent of burn-resistant agent, 5-10 percent of antifreeze agent, 3-5 percent of booster solvent, 0.3-2 percent of pH regulating agent and the remaining percent of purified water. The highly-enriched water additive can be mixed with water by any proportion within 0.1-6 percent, and is suitable for the existing firefighting trucks in the market, novel firefighting trucks and water-based firefighting systems. When in extinguishing Class A fires, only 0.1-0.5 percent of additive is added and good permeability and abundant foam can be produced. Moreover, the additive is suitable for foaming systems and spray equipment. For non-water-soluble Class B fires, the required concentration of the used additive is only one percent and good effect can be reached. For water-soluble Class B fires, the concentration of the used additive is 3-6 percent. The used additive causes no environmental pollution and thereby the additive is environment-friendly.

A universal, fluid transfer, Q-D coupling assembly for connecting water supply hoses to fire-fighter's wild-fire backpack tanks comprising a two or three-part combination: #1) a ⅝″ female member having an axially-slideable detent collar and an internal, spring-biased fluid shut off flap, and #2) a male nozzle/reducer/collar member having a detent engaging groove. A ball valve is connected to element #2, either integral as #2A, or as a separate assembly element #3.
