The invention discloses a preparation method of a foamed nickel-based photothermal conversion material and relates to a preparation method of a photothermal conversion material. The photothermal conversion material prepared by means of a hydrothermal method is a semiconductor material in a flower-type structure formed by clustering a plurality of needle substances. The photothermal conversion material has relatively high absorptivity and can fully absorb light, the wavelengths of which are 0.25-2.5 [mu]. In addition, the material has excellent photothermal conversion performance and can fully convert absorbed light energy into heat energy and evaporate water on the surface of a microstructure of the material. The preparation method disclosed by the invention can be used for obtaining the foamed nickel-based photothermal conversion material.
