Method and devices for specifying the quality of service in a transmission of data packets

A method for specifying the quality of service in a transmission of data packets between a service entity (AF1) and a user equipment over a mobile network is described. The mobile network comprises a core network node (SGSN1) and an access node (NB1, RNC1) which are adapted to control the handling of data packets sent between the service entity (AF1) and the user equipment (UE1). A plurality of service classes relating to the quality of service are preconfigured and a selected service class is selected from said plurality for the transmission. A first transmission context (PDP1) is established between the core network node and the user equipment (UE1), said first transmission context being associated with a first set of attributes for defining a first quality of service for the exchange of the data packets with the user equipment in the transmission. Furthermore, a second transmission context (RAB1, RB1) is established between the access node (NB1, RNC1) and the user equipment (UE1), said second transmission context being associated with a second set of attributes for defining a second quality of service for the exchange of the data packets with the user equipment in the transmission. The selected service class determines the first set of attributes by a first unique mapping function performed in the core network node and the selected service class determines the second set of attributes by a second unique mapping function performed in the access node. A corresponding mobile network, control device and computer program are also described.

Disclosed is a digital image production apparatus comprising: a print engine having a plurality of trays each of which is capable of accommodating different types of recording sheets; a user interface; and an electronic control system controlling print processing, including control of supply of recording sheets from the trays in accordance with sheet specifications of print jobs. Such a control system has access to a memory which stores for each tray the type of recording sheets presently accommodated therein, and when the type of recording sheet required for a job is not available in any of the trays, indicates, through the user interface, the required type of recording sheet and invites an operator to place recording sheets of the required type in a specific tray. In response to a confirmation signal which simply confirms that the operator has completed the requested action, the control system automatically stores information specifying the required type of recording sheet in a location of the memory associated with said specific tray. Such a confirmation signal would e.g. be generated when the operator presses the start button. Alternatively, the control system may leave the selection of a tray to the operator, in which case the confirmation signal should include an indication of the tray the operator has chosen.

A Model Transformation Authoring Framework (MTAF) method and apparatus for authoring and providing model-to-model transformations from one domain to another domain is disclosed. Given a domain and a target domain, at least the given domain having a respective structured hierarchy, the invention system enables a user to specify a declarative mapping (transformation declarative) between a domain specific language modeling the given domain and a modeling language modeling the target domain. The declarative mapping models how the domain specific language modeling the given domain relates to the modeling language of the target domain. The system generates a transformation code implementation of a transformation from the given domain to the target domain. The MTAF provides to the user design decisions with respect to Specification, Transformation Rules, Rule Organization, Rule Application Control, Source-Target Relationship, Incrementality, and Directionality and Tracing. The generated transformation code is executed at runtime to perform the transformation of the domain specific language of the given domain to the modeling language of the target domain. Instances of models of the target domain resulting from the performed transformation at runtime may be output to other model transformations, to JET templates, or may be persisted, merged or chained among other post processing.
