The patterned electrode layer is disposed on the inner surface of the substrate in the sealant region, and the patterned electrode layer includes a plurality of connecting lines electrically connected to a touch sensing device, and an auxiliary electrode. The auxiliary electrode is not directly electrically connected to the connecting lines and the touch sensing device. The sealant is disposed between the first substrate and the second substrate in the sealant region, and at least one of the connecting lines and the auxiliary electrode overlap the sealant.

Head gimbal assemblies for very low flying height heads with optional micro-actuators in a hard disk drive

A head gimbal assembly may include a piezo layer mechanically coupled with the slider. Bending the piezo layer alters flying height. Alternatively, it may include a piezo element mechanically coupled by a flexure to the slider top near the read-write head, which when excited, bends the flexure to alter the flying height. A bridge flex circuit is included, providing a piezo-control bundle to at least one of the piezo layer leads. The flex circuit assembly may further provide a piezo control bundle, shared with the piezo control bundles for multiple read-write heads. The head gimbal assembly may include a micro-actuator to position the read-write head near a track on the accessed, rotating disk surface. The flex circuit assembly may provide a source control bundle, shared with micro-actuator control bundles for multiple read-write heads. When accessing, all micro-actuators perform the same positioning action, insuring proper positioning of the read-write head. This applies to co-located and non co-located micro-actuators. Wire bundles may include one or two active signal wires. Voice coil actuators and the hard disk drives, as well as making these, are included.

According to one embodiment of the invention, a method for probing a wafer includes positioning a testhead relative to a prober supporting a wafer in a testing position. The method also includes receiving at least one prober signal identifying the angular position of the prober and at least one testhead signal identifying the angular position of the testhead. The at least one prober signal and the at least one testhead signal are processed to determine if the testhead is substantially parallel with the prober, and output is provided to allow for adjustment of the position of the testhead in response to determining that the testhead is not substantially parallel with the prober.

Apparatus and methods are described, including identifying a subject as suffering from hypertension. In response to the identifying (a) a radius of curvature of a first set of at least three regions of an arterial wall of the subject is increased at a given longitudinal location, while (b) allowing the first set of regions of the arterial wall to pulsate. A device is implanted inside the artery at the longitudinal location such that the device applies pressure to the arterial wall at a second set of at least three regions of the artery, but does not contact the first set of regions, the first set of regions and the second set of regions alternating with each other. Method and apparatus for sealing a glass package

An apparatus for sealing a glass package by applying a force to a glass assembly while simultaneously irradiating a sealing material disposed between the two glass substrates with a beam of radiation. The applied force is translated in unison with the radiation beam. The radiation cures and / or melts the sealing material, depending upon the sealing material. The applied force beneficially improves contact between the glass substrates and the sealing material during the sealing process, therefore assisting in achieving a hermetic seal between the substrates.

The present invention provides a high performance polymer-base material capable of dissipating transient thermal energy generated by an electronic module, such as a heat-generating power device. The methods of the present invention involve adding a suitable thinner to reduce the viscosity and increase the volume of a polymer-base matrix material so that a large amount of thermal absorbing particles may be added. The final cured product may have a filler content of more than 80 weight %. Further, the present invention provides a new and reduced cost formulation of a polymer-base thermal transient suppression material containing organic wax particles.

Ink jet printer

An ink jet printer includes an ink container supplying ink through a tube member to a separate print head to form an image. The ink jet printer also includes a supporting portion that supports the tube member. As the print head reciprocates in a width direction of a recording medium, the tube member flexes as the print head mounted on a carriage moves. The tube protruding from the print head is inclined at approximately 30 degrees with respect to a moving direction of the print head, toward the supporting portion. When the tube is pulled toward the supporting portion, resistance to the movement of the print head can be restricted. When the tube bends or curves between the supporting portion and the print head, the tube can be moved smoothly toward the supporting portion. Thus, when the print head reciprocates, the tube can flex smoothly and the resistance applied to the print head by the tube can be restricted, allowing proper ink supply to the print head.

Furthermore, the electrode assembly according to the present invention has the effect of restraining the movement of the electrodes due to repetitive contraction and expansion of the electrode assembly during the charge and discharge of the secondary battery.
