Single-chip imager system with programmable dynamic range

The imager system of the invention, provided in a semiconductor substrate, includes a plurality of photosensitive, charge integrating pixels that are arranged in rows and columns of a pixel array for capturing illumination of a scene to be imaged. Each pixel includes a photogenerated charge accumulation region of the semiconductor substrate and a sense node at which an electrical signal, indicative of pixel charge accumulation, can be measured without discharging the accumulation region. Pixel access control circuitry is connected to pixel array rows and columns to deliver pixel access signals generated by the access control circuitry for independently accessing a selected pixel in the array. An input interface circuit is connected to accept a dynamic range specification input for the array pixels. Integration control circuitry is connected to access a selected pixel of the array to read the sense node electrical signal of the selected pixel, and configured to generate pixel-specific integration control signals delivered to the selected pixel, independent of other pixels, based on dynamic range specification input provided by the input interface circuit. An output interface circuit is connected to the pixel array to produce output image data based on sense node electrical signals from the pixel array.

Stake and rail assembly

A stake and rail assembly for increasing the cargo carrying capacity of a pickup truck or the like vehicle comprising: a front wall, a pair of generally parallel side walls, a rear wall and upright stakes for insertion into the cavities in the vehicle or attachment by bolts to the vehicle, wherein the front and side walls comprise a plurality of horizontal rails attached to the stakes to form three sides of an enclosed volume, the rear wall comprises a plurality of horizontal rails, a first pair of angularly mounted members and at least one upright attached to the horizontal rails of the rear wall and capable of engaging a parallel second pair of angularly mounted members and at least one upright on the front wall when the rear wall is vertically juxtaposed with the front wall. According to various preferred embodiments of the invention, 1) the surfaces of the angularly mounted members and the uprights are cut to provide engagement when the front and rear walls are vertically juxtaposed, 2) the ends of all front wall and sidewall rails include slots that engage bolts inserted through holes in two part brackets that serve to join the front wall and side wall rails, and 3) the rear wall includes spring biased locking mechanisms that engage apertures in a second set of brackets attached to the rear extremities of the side walls.

Counter flow type of cooling tower generating low grade of noise

This invention relates to a counter flow type of cooling tower generating low grade of noise, which includes: a body wherein an external air inhalation hole is formed in the lower portion and a discharge hole is formed in the upper portion; a fan that is provided in the body and absorbs external air into the body through an inhalation hole and discharges the external air to the discharge hole; an spraying nozzle that sprays coolant; an eliminator that is provided above the spraying nozzle and prevents air and water from scattering; a filler that is provided below the spraying nozzle; and a collection tank collecting the coolant that passes the filler and drops, wherein a space portion is formed between the filler and the collection tank, and the space portion formed between the filler and the collection tank further includes a noise generation restraining portion consisting of at least one noise generation restraining unit. According to the invention, the noise that occurs when the coolant directly drops into the collection tank is reduced, the scattering of the coolant by incoming air may be prevented, the loss of pressure by the noise generation restraining portion is minimized, the amount of lost coolant and air may be reduced, and the cooling efficiency increases because the noise generation restraining portion maximizes the cooling effect.
