8 results about "Cinematography" patented technology

Cinematography (from ancient greek κίνημα, kìnema "movement" and γράφειν, gràphein "to write") is the art of motion-picture photography and filming either electronically by means of an image sensor, or chemically by means of a light-sensitive material such as film stock.

Systems for video production lighting and related methods

A lighting system includes at least a first light source and a second light source. The system also includes a camera system configured to capture sequential video frames under multiple lighting conditions. The system includes a synchronization system that is configured to activate the first light source during the last millisecond of a first frame and the second light source during the first millisecond of a subsequent frame. Applications include modern cinematography workflows requiring efficient lighting design and superior scene capture under varying illumination. Various other methods, systems, and computer-readable media are also disclosed.

Infinity corrected photographic and cinematographic lens system

The present invention generally relates to optical imaging systems able to form an infinity corrected beam from light received from a front lens system, thereby standardizing the working distance of any front lens system able to be integrated with the present invention. This allows a wide variety of front objectives to be used interchangeably with photographic and motion-picture cameras and other optical instruments, and also allows front objective lens systems to be miniaturized or otherwise modified.

Motor mount for a cinematography lens

A motor mount for a cinematography lens of a camera is provided. A main body has a first end and an opposite second end, the first end configured to fixedly couple to a camera rod of the camera and the second end is configured to support a moveable arm. The arm is configured to support a motor for selective engagement with the cinematography lens. An actuator is supported on the main body proximate the second end. The actuator is coupled to the arm such that the motor is moveable via the actuator between at least a first position whereby the motor is disengaged with the cinematography lens and a second position whereby the motor is engaged with the cinematography lens and without movement of the main body on the camera rod.

Instrument for measuring the softness of light

PCT designated stageWO2025253044A1Photometry using wholly visual meansDiffusing elementsEngineeringSight
The present invention relates to an instrument (1) for objectively measuring the dispersion of light, which is useful in the cinematography and audiovisual sector. The invention overcomes the lack of precise tools, eliminating the relativity of the concept. The instrument of the invention consists of a semi-sphere (2) made of a matte material and having a known size, serving as a constant subject. When the instrument is oriented toward a light source, an external device captures an image of the dispersion of light over the semi-sphere (2), providing an objective measurement of the dispersion. The instrument can include marks (3) for orientation, a mirrored semi-ellipsoid (5) for complementary analysis of the source, and sight holes (6, 7) for alignment. The primary use of the instrument is for evaluating and standardising the measurement of the dispersion of light on a known and constant object that takes the place of a subject.

Digital character motion synthesized video training data generation method and system

The application relates to a digital role action synthesized video training data generation method and system. The digital role action synthesized video training data generation method comprises the following steps: writing a rendering task of an action synthesized video into a shared task queue, wherein a combination of film semantic parameters of the rendering task is obtained by values of shooting dimensions conforming to a cinematography specification; making multiple rendering nodes concurrently take rendering tasks from the shared task queue by executing an atomic declaration mechanism; each rendering node executes a rendering work according to a configuration parameter to generate a corresponding frame image sequence; converting the frame image sequence into a video file, packing the video file and a structured annotation record to obtain a training data entry, and obtaining a training data set composed of multiple training data entries. The application solves the problem of poor production efficiency of a synthesized video training data generation system.
