A generally C-shaped trocar provides increased work space between the hands of the surgeon as well as S-shaped laparoscopic instruments placed through the trocar when laparoscopic instrument—trocar units are placed through the umbilicus. In order to facilitate retraction of intra-abdominal structures during a laparoscopic procedure, an angulated needle and thread with either one-or two sharp ends is provided. Alternatively, an inflatable unit having at least one generally C-shaped trocar incorporated within the unit's walls can be placed through the umbilicus following a single incision. Generally S-shaped laparoscopic instruments may be placed through the generally C-shaped trocars to facilitate access to intra-abdominal structures.

An adjustable electrocautery surgical apparatus for selectively delivering electosurgical coagulation and cut current from an electrosurgical generator to a surgical site is provided comprising an elongated body, an extension member passing at least partially through the elongated body, a track in the elongated body for guiding the extension member, an electrode blade attached to the extension member for cutting or coagulating tissue, and an adjustable lock coupled to the extension member for selectively adjusting the position of the extension member and electrode blade relative to the elongated body and for locking the extension member and electrode blade in a selected position. A longitudinal channel passes through a sidewall of the elongated body member. A plurality of stops are positioned in the channel for providing a sequence of stop positions between maximally retracted and maximally extended positions of the apparatus. The adjustable lock is slidably positioned in the longitudinal channel of the elongated body member so as to selectively engage the stops and thereby lock the electrode blade in a selected stop position between the maximally retracted and the maximally extended positions. The apparatus is further provided with means for electrically coupling the electrode blade to the coagulation and cut currents of the electrosurgical generator, such that coagulation or cut current, or a combination thereof, can be selectively delivered to the electrode blade.

The invention relates to a fabric three-dimensional pressure analog test system which is used for testing the dynamic contact pressure and the pressure attenuation characteristics of fabrics. The measuring principles of the invention refers to measuring dynamic clothing pressure during a process of fabric three-dimensional deformation by a pressing ball embedded with nine highly precise pressure sensors to press against the fabrics; the pressing ball is transmitted by a driving device, which can press against the fabrics for more than several thousand times so as to measure pressure fatigue. A pressure-displacement curve, a pressure-time curve and a pressure attenuation curve of each sensing point are respectively obtained by the processing of a computer. The analog test system of the invention has simple structure and convenient operation and is a testing instrument that can effectively and objectively evaluate fabric pressure performance.

Extendible shelter

An extendible shelter connectable to a building has an extendible frame and a plurality of covers, connected to an outermost frame end, for covering the frame. Adjacent covers are connected to one another at outermost edge ends of their adjacent edges, which are threaded through a fastener. As the frame is extended outwardly away from the building, the adjacent edges are drawn through the fastener, which fastens the edges together to automatically fasten the adjacent covers. A second tail portion may extend away from the loop to a second lever. Each tail portion may be attached to its respective lever, or may be slidably advanceable around a fulcrum on the lever and attached with respect to the support.
