The invention discloses a dyeing method for a corduroy fabric. The dyeing method comprises the following steps: 1) adding dicyandiamide, sodium ethylene diamine tetracetate, glycol, ethylene carbonate and vegetable dye into a dye vat in turn, adding deionized water, uniformly stirring and heating to 55 DEG C; 2) adding sodium hexametaphosphate, sodium dodecyl sulfate, o-phthalimide and polyethylene glycol in turn, stirring till uniformly mixing, and then heating to 65 DEG C; 3) soaking the fabric into the dye vat for 30 minutes; 4) drying the fabric after being soaked at 80 DEG C; 5) soaking the fabric after being dried into clean water and washing for 30 minutes; 6) taking out the fabric after being washed and then naturally airing. According to the invention, the fabric after being dyed has excellent color fastness, high leveling of dyeing and no dyeing defect.
