This invention discloses a dual-axial
flame input and output selectable
delay tube for instantaneous / short
delay, comprising a tube shell, an upper ignition pad, a lower ignition pad, a
washer, a first ignition charge, a second ignition charge, a
delay charge, and an initiating charge. Ignition holes are located at the center of the top and bottom surfaces of the tube shell. The upper ignition pad, first ignition charge, delay charge, initiating charge, second ignition charge, lower ignition pad, and
washer are sequentially filled into the tube shell from top to bottom. The upper ignition pad is located between the first ignition charge and the tube shell, and the
washer is located between the lower ignition pad and the tube shell. This invention is used in the setting bolt of the fuse triggering time setting mechanism for medium and large
caliber artillery shells. It adopts a dual-axial
flame input excitation structure, replacing the original single-direction
flame input excitation method of delay tubes. Combined with the setting bolt setting orientation, it achieves selectable
modes for both instantaneous and short delay action times. This simplifies the fuse setting mechanism structure, and its small size and simple charge structure facilitate manufacturing and installation.
