The invention relates to a high-yield planting method of
coix lacryma-jobi as
forage. The high-yield planting method of the
coix lacryma-jobi as the
forage comprises the following steps: (1) selecting land, weeding, applying base
fertilizer, turning over, and carrying out
soil preparation; (2) selecting seeds,
drying the seeds in the sun, and intermittently soaking the seeds or carrying out seed dressing; (3)
sowing, after seedlings emerge, weeding,
thinning,
thinning again, weeding, weeding again, and carrying out topdressing; (4) carrying out water and
fertilizer management and
pest control; and (5)
cutting green plants, carrying out topdressing, irrigating, and covering stumps with straws after the last green
plant cutting is finished, so that heat preservation is carried out, and early
germination the next year is promoted. The high-yield planting method of the
coix lacryma-jobi as the
forage can be used for solving the technical problems that seasonal supply and demand of over-year living forage is unbalanced, summer forage is not resistant to waterlogging and slowly grows at high temperature and environmental requirement is high; biological yield of the
coix lacryma-jobi is improved, yield per mu of fresh grasses reaches about 27 tons, on a
land mass with
fertility of the same class, the yield is increased by more than or equal to 130% compared with the summer forage zea mexicana, annual fresh grass production time is prolonged for more than or equal to 30 days compared with the zea mexicana, and the forage can be harvested for multiple years after
sowing once; and the planted
coix lacryma-jobi forage is high in yield and wide in application range.
