Orchard grape stem detection method based on improved YOLOv8n

The invention discloses an orchard grape stem detection method based on improved YOLOv8n. The method comprises the following steps: step 1), obtaining a grape image data set under visible light of an orchard, and dividing the grape image data set into a training set, a verification set and a test set; step 2), utilizing a CBAM attention mechanism module, a DyHead detection head module and an MPDIOU regression loss function to improve a structure model of YOLOv8n; step 3), carrying out Soft-NMS (Next-Message Management System) by two-stage post-processing to retain potential candidates, and then carrying out Hard-NMS to delete redundant candidates to obtain an improved YOLOv8n model; step 4), training the improved YOLOv8n model based on the training set, the verification set and the test set to obtain a trained improved YOLOv8n model; and step 5), inputting a grape image data set to be detected into the trained improved YOLOv8n model to obtain a detection result. According to the method, a CBAM attention mechanism module, a Dyhead detection head module and an MPDIOU regression loss function are introduced, feature extraction detection is used for detecting a slender target, and occurrence of a detection redundant frame is effectively relieved.
