Method and system for re-direction and handoff for pre-paid mobile services in third generation networks

InactiveUS6973309B1Adversely affectingMetering/charging/biilling arrangementsPrepayment with real-time account/card rechargingThird generationMobile service
A method and system for re-direction and handoff for pre-paid mobile services in third generation (“3G”) networks. A handoff marker is created and used for wireless mobile nodes such as Mobile Internet Protocol (“Mobile IP”) nodes. The handoff markers allow the wireless mobile nodes to use pre-paid mobile services, have active communications sessions suspended and re-directed to a registration server when purchased pre-paid mobile services run-out. The registration server allows the wireless mobile node to electronically purchase additional pre-paid mobile services and immediately resume a suspended communications session. The handoff markers also allows network devices in a mobile network to determine between initiation of a new communications session or a hard handoff of an existing communication session, without adversely affecting pre-paid billing services.

Elevator system for transmitting information to passenger

An elevator system has a data receiving unit that receives service state data transmitted from a control device of an elevator. A pulse modulation unit separates the service state data received by the data receiving unit into first information data and second information data, pulse-modulates the first information data by using the second information data, and creates an LED blinking pattern. An LED drive unit drives a visible light LED placed in a cage of the elevator or on a platform of the elevator in response to the LED blinking pattern created by the pulse modulation unit.

A nonwoven web or laminate having improved antistatic properties and alcohol repellency properties is generally provided, along with methods of making the same. The method includes forming a nonwoven web from a thermoplastic mixture of an antistatic agent and a thermoplastic polymer. A high energy treatment is applied to a surface of the nonwoven web. Then, a fluorinated agent is grafted to the surface of the spunbond web utilizing a monomer deposition process. The monomer deposition process can generally include evaporating a liquid fluorinated agent in a vacuum chamber, followed by depositing the fluorinated agent gas on a surface of the spunbond web, and exposing the surface to radiation.

Composite free layer within magnetic tunnel junction for MRAM applications

A MTJ in an MRAM array is disclosed with a composite free layer having a FL1 / FL2 / FL3 configuration where FL1 and FL2 are crystalline magnetic layers and FL3 is an amorphous NiFeX layer for improved bit switching performance. FL1 layer is CoFe which affords a high magnetoresistive (MR) ratio when forming an interface with a MgO tunnel barrier. FL2 is Fe to improve switching performance. NiFeX thickness where X is Hf is preferably between 20 to 40 Angstroms to substantially reduce bit line switching current and number of shorted bits. Annealing at 330° C. to 360° C. provides a high MR ratio of 190%. Furthermore, low Hc and Hk are simultaneously achieved with improved bit switching performance and fewer shorts without compromising other MTJ properties such as MR ratio. As a result of high MR ratio and lower bit-to-bit resistance variation, higher reading margin is realized.
