This invention provides a bridge
pier foundation pit filling structure and construction method using L-shaped foamed concrete blocks, belonging to the field of road and
bridge engineering construction technology. It includes: a foundation pit, at least one
pile foundation, a
pile cap, a bridge
pier, and a filling structure; at least one
pile foundation is located within the foundation pit; the bottom surface of the
pile cap is connected to the top surface of the pile foundation; the bridge
pier is connected to the top surface of the
pile cap; this device fills the foundation pit by using an
interlocking, layered, and overlapping method to fill the pit with L-shaped foamed concrete blocks, combined with a method of filling joints with cast-in-place foamed concrete. This strengthens the strength and integrity of the foundation pit filling material between the
pile cap group and the bridge pier group, and utilizes the properties of foamed concrete to reduce the pressure of the backfill soil in the foundation pit, thus reducing the problems of bridge pier settlement and uneven settlement between bridge pier groups.
