Incoming call handling method for mobile communications device incorporating mobile assisted messaging on demand

A method of handling an incoming call during an operational mode of a wireless communications device is provided. With the operational mode activated, an incoming call is received at the wireless communications device on a control channel of the wireless communications system. The source of the incoming call is identified, typically by activating caller ID circuitry resident within the wireless communications device to identify a phone number of the source of the incoming call. One of a plurality of pre-recorded messages is then selected either manually or automatically to play back to the source of the incoming call. The plurality of pre-recorded messages are stored at a voice message mailbox in the wireless communications system allocated to the wireless communications device. The incoming call is then diverted, without completing the call and switching to a traffic channel, to the voice message mailbox of the wireless communications device and the selected pre-recorded messages is played back for the source of the incoming call.

Method and apparatus for improving computer cache performance and for protecting memory systems against some side channel attacks

A physical cache memory that is divided into one or more virtual segments using multiple circuits to decode addresses is provided. An address mapping and an address decoder is selected for each virtual segment. The address mapping comprises two or more address bits as set indexes for the virtual segment and the selected address bits are different for each virtual segment. A cache address decoder is provided for each virtual segment to enhance execution performance of programs or to protect against the side channel attack. Each physical cache address decoder comprises an address mask register to extract the selected address bits to locate objects in the virtual segment. The foregoing can be implemented as a method or apparatus for protecting against a side channel attack.

A diverter valve controls input of two different extruded materials to a mold. A valve body has an axially extending opening, and a valve piston is axially movable in the opening between first and second positions. The body defines a first inlet for receiving a first material, and a second inlet for receiving a second material with first and second outlets opposite the inlets. A transmission includes an input shaft, a main shaft, a countershaft, and an oil pump. The input shaft, the main shaft and the countershaft are provided with gearwheels in order to enable torque transfer in a plurality of forward and backward gear speeds.
