optical path switching between an input
fiber array and an output
fiber array. The optical cross module provided by the present application comprises an optical switching array, the optical switching array comprises a plurality of switching
layers arranged in a stack, each switching layer comprises a plurality of optical switches, the
optical switch comprises a polarization conversion component and a
liquid crystal prism; the
liquid crystal prism comprises a first
liquid crystal layer with gradually decreasing thickness, after being selected by the polarization conversion component, the
light beam with the first polarization direction or the second polarization direction enters the first liquid
crystal layer; the first liquid
crystal layer refracts the two light beams with different polarization directions at different angles, so that the
light beam after the polarization conversion component has the first polarization direction or the second polarization direction can be controlled to control the
light beam to be shot from the first
optical path to the port or from the second
optical path to another port, thereby realizing the optical
path switching between the input
fiber array and the output
fiber array by the optical cross module.
