The invention discloses nanometer composite self-cleaning exterior wall latex paint and a preparation method thereof. The latex paint comprises water, a dispersing agent, nanometer titanium dioxide, nanometer silicon dioxide, latex, paint, filling, a film forming addition agent and a mildew-proof disinfectant, wherein the dispersing agent is a nanometer dispersing agent; and the adding amount of the dispersing agent is 0.1 to 0.5 percent of gross weight of the nanometer self-cleaning exterior wall latex paint. The preparation method comprises a pulping process and a paint producing process. Compared with the prior art, through selecting the nanometer dispersing agent, the method ensures that the nanometer self-cleaning exterior wall latex paint is prevented from agglomeration so as to reduce surface tension of a paint film, reduce contact angle and improve the hydrophobic nature of the paint film, thereby making the latex paint have self-cleaning performance.
