The invention discloses an automatic alarming method which comprises the following steps that a server detects the congestion of a current road; when detecting that the degree of road congestion reaches a preset level of the system, the server, according to a correlation between the starting position of the congested road and a police service information system, sends the starting position of thecongested road to the corresponding police service information system; and the police service information system obtains a click operation on the starting position of the congested road, retrieves a navigation route from the current position of the police service information system to the starting position, and performs navigation. Different from the prior art, the method can automatically send road congestion information to the police service information system in order that a police can treat the situation immediately, thereby improving the alarm efficiency and reducing the congestion time.
