A secure firearm holder (10) includes an outwardly swinging hinged plate (14) that is hinged to a holder base (12) with a gun (44) mounted at a side of the plate in a ready-to-use orientation when the plate swings outwardly. In a preferred embodiment, a bore shaft (36) is mounted on the hinged plate, the bore shaft extending into the firearm. The motor unit is attached to a valve handle by an adapter, and the sensor can communicate to activate the motor. A support and enclosure structure for fluorescent light bulbs includes an elongated, hollow tube having opposite ends, an outer wall and an inner volume, and at least one ventilation opening extending through the outer wall for permitting air flow between the inner volume of the tube and the surrounding environment for cooling of the fluorescent light bulb held there within. End caps are mounted on opposite ends of the tube, the end caps adapted to engage opposite ends of the fluorescent light bulb and support the fluorescent light bulb within the inner volume of the tube free of contact with the outer wall of the tube. A utility knife includes a handle having a passage to slidably receive a blade carrier which has a space to receive a knife blade and to move the knife blade into or out of the handle. The blade carrier includes a spring limb having a latch to engage with and to anchor the knife blade to the blade carrier. An actuator device may selectively disengage the latch of the spring limb from the knife blade, to release the knife blade from the blade carrier. A cylindrical guard is used for protecting the electrical junction between connectors. The guard is essentially two split cylindrical sections oriented end-to-end with breakaway tabs therebetween. An AGU adapted for one-time use is provided for use with a parachute. The AGU has a frame made of wood, plywood or other biodegradable material to which the parachute suspension lines are secured. The frame includes an exterior wall having an access portal to a compartment within which an avionics unit is mounted so that one side of the avionics unit remains exposed and substantially flush with the exterior wall. A swimming pool chlorinator that utilizes a cylindrical housing that has an internal chamber. Within the internal chamber is concentrically mounted in a close fitting manner a valve member. The sidewall of the housing has a series of elongated slits and also the valve member has a series of similar elongated slits. The housing has mounted thereon at least one suction cup with the suction cup to be securable to a swimming pool wall surface or other surfaces associated with a swimming pool and beneath the surface of the water in the pool. Within the internal chamber of the housing is located one or more chlorine tablets. The valve member is to be adjusted relative to the housing so that the slits of the housing are unrestricted permitting free flow of water through the housing or the slits are restricted partially thereby limiting the amount of flow of water through the internal chamber. As the water is conducted through the internal chamber, the chlorine tablet is dissolved within the water which chlorinates the water of the swimming pool when this water is conducted exteriorly of the housing.

The present invention is a brine-maker of a two-tank arrangement specifically designed for efficient removal of salt sludge. The first tank is a salt-hopper into which water flows from the bottom and up through salt to form brine and leaves mineral impurities called sludge on the bottom of the hopper. The brine then overflows through strainers into a brine containment tank. The outside of the salt hopper has bracketing means attached. When the sludge needs to be removed, a lifting device is attached to the bracketing means and the hopper is disconnected from the water supply by a quick-fit coupler and removed to a dumping site where it is turned on its side and the sludge is poured out. The salt hopper is then returned to its position and coupled to the water supply. The salinity level of the brine in the containment tank can be adjusted either by adding fresh water or by running the brine back through the salt in the salt hopper. The brine is stored in the brine containment tank until discharged for use.

The containment cap, when mounted onto the fixator pin, is interposed between the prosthesis and soft tissue covering the end or stump of an amputated residual limb or the like. The containment cap carries and supports a selected antimicrobial or antibacterial agent in substantial contact with the soft stump tissue in a position closely overlying and substantially circumscribing the tissue interface with the externally protruding fixator pin to safeguard against infection. A manhole barrier system configured to prevent unauthorized access or dumping or removal of materials into manholes is provided. The manhole barrier system includes a substantially hollow sub-ring configured to be secured to the inside wall of the manhole, preferably using a layer of adhesive, and to receive a pan configured to serve as a barrier therein.
