Vehicle battery's open circuit voltage estimating method and a system therefor

A vehicle battery's open circuit voltage estimating method and a system therefor for relatively correctly estimating an open circuit voltage of a battery on a vehicle within a relatively short period after completion of the charge or the discharge also without a temperature correction is provided. A disconnected voltage measuring means 23a-1 measures a disconnected voltage of the battery multiple times in a definite period of time after a predetermined period of time after completion of charge or discharge of the battery. An approximate expression determining means 23a-2 determines a power approximate expression having a negative power number by using a difference value of the measured disconnected voltage and an assumed open circuit voltage. And, an arithmetic operation controlling means 23a-3 makes the approximate expression determining means update the assumed open circuit voltage and determine the power approximate expression repeatedly until the power number of the determined power approximate expression becomes -0.5 or about -0.5, and the assumed open circuit voltage is estimated to be the open circuit voltage when the power number becomes -0.5 or about -0.5.

Blood test apparatus and method of controlling the same

A blood test apparatus having a simple constitution whereby stable measurement can be conducted by surely sampling the blood in an amount being small but sufficient for the test without placing too much burden on a patient. When a first skin contact sensor of this apparatus detects the skin, driving of a negative pressure unit is initiated. Thus, the skin rises and comes into contact with a second skin contact sensor. After piercing into the skin, the negative pressure supply is once ceased. Next, the negative pressure is applied again for a definite period of time. Thus, the opening in the skin is broadened, which facilitates the flow out of the blood.

Optical access system

An optical access system capable of avoiding cutoffs or interruption in the periodically transmitted signals that occur during the ranging time is provided. A first method to avoid signal cutoffs is to stop periodic transmit signals at the transmitter during the ranging period, and transmit all the periodic transmit signals together when the ranging ends, and buffer the signals at the receiver to prepare for ranging. A second method is to fix definite periods ahead of time for performing ranging, then cluster the multiple periodic transmit signals together in sets at the transmitter and send them, and then disassemble those sets back into signals at the receiver. The transmitting and receiving is then controlled so that the transmit periods do not overlap with the ranging periods. In this way an optical access system is provided that can send and receive signals requiring periodic transmissions without interruption even during ranging operation.

The method includes performing exclusive OR on an m sequence and a logistic sequence. The mapping output sequence period of the logistic sequence is T1 and the mapping output sequence period of the m sequence is T2. The sequence period T obtained through exclusive OR on the m sequence and the logistic sequence meets an equation of T=T1T2. According to the invention, a phenomenon of short period of logistic mapping after integer conversion is eliminated. At the sametime, a defect of the m sequence of attack susceptibility due to linear characteristics is made up and a clear and definite period of the hybrid sequence generator is given. The shortcoming of shortperiod of logistic mapping and the shortcoming of attack susceptibility of the m sequence due to the linear characteristics are solved fundamentally and the output sequence safety is improved by utilizing multi-period phenomenon of logistic mapping properly.
