77 results about "Total cost of ownership" patented technology

Total cost of ownership (TCO) is a financial estimate intended to help buyers and owners determine the direct and indirect costs of a product or system. It is a management accounting concept that can be used in full cost accounting or even ecological economics where it includes social costs.

System and method for integrated on-demand delivery of operating system and applications

The present invention discloses a system and a method for integrated on-demand delivery of operating system and applications, where operating system images are separate and distinct from application images. Integration of operating system streaming and application streaming services makes streaming delivery possible to a wide range of client devices, including those without any local disk space such as thin-clients and diskless workstations. In addition, by integrating the centralized management of operating system delivery and application delivery, the present invention provides a complete solution to server-centric application management, thereby further reducing the total cost of ownership of network-based computing approach. Implementing the operating management functions at the client machine level of specificity and application management functions at the user level of specificity combined with providing separate and distinct operating system images and application images provides an inherently canonical architecture that allows proper scaling and affords appropriate security management functions. The result is a complete, scalable, robust, and reliable server-centric application and operating system management system with a lower total cost of ownership than existing products.

PaaS cloud implementation method based on containers

The invention discloses a PaaS cloud implementation method based on containers. The method comprises following steps: saving configuration information of all containers and providing disposition; a deployment strategy ensuring that multiple containers under the same APP are scattered across different hosts; performing management on the host and containers and one physical cluster being corresponding to multiple projects, etc.. Therefore, the introduction of containers into the cloud computing basic resource delivery to provide PaaS layer services is realized, reducing waste of resources caused by the traditional PaaS products using virtual machines, increasing disposition efficiency and reducing exploitation and test period for users; the method is a lightweight VM solution scheme based on process containers, realizing a resource isolation and quota of an application program grade; Compared with the traditional cloud infrastructure system implementation, the container-based cloud service system has lower cost of overall ownership, higher resource utilization and is more stable and reliable, which further enhances the virtualization efficiency, improves resource utilization, accelerates enterprise devops process, and provides fast and effective support services for applications.

Digital addressable illumination control system and method thereof

The invention discloses a digital addressable lighting control system and a method thereof. The system consists of master nodes and slave nodes numbered from 1 to 64 which are hung and connected on a DALI bus, all the sensors and a PC on which DALI application software runs are connected with the main nodes, and the slave nodes comprise two parts of DALI interface circuits and electronic dimming ballasts and serve as a system actuator for driving fluorescent lamps. The actuator controls the fluorescent lamps according to commands of the main nodes and the preset working parameters, the slave nodes are taken as the system actuator, a control unit thereof reads the real-time working states of the fluorescent lamps and an output module and feeds back to the main nodes by the DALI bus, then the digital addressable lighting control system can not only feed back the real-time state of the control unit of the actuator, but also feed back the real-time states of an executive unit and controlled objects, and maintenance personnel and a user can grasp the full picture and the details of the system. The digital addressable lighting control system adopts the electronic ballasts with separated easily damaged parts and non-easily damaged parts, and only the easily damaged parts need to be replaced during the life cycle of the actuator, thereby effectively reducing the overall owning cost of the user.

Method for accelerating performance of computer disk based on disk cache

The invention provides a method for accelerating performance of a computer disk based on disk cache. The method comprises the following steps of: obtaining data access frequency information according to the disk, analyzing and processing through a data distribution adjustment unit, correspondingly placing the data with high access frequency into a high performance disk storage space and relatively placing the data with low access frequency into a low performance disk storage space so as to achieve the purposes of improving the access efficiency and reducing the total cost of ownership. A system architecture comprises a data access frequency statistical unit, the data distribution adjustment unit and a release system unit, wherein the data access frequency statistical unit is mainly responsible for counting various data access frequencies; the data distribution adjustment unit, the core of the method, is responsible for placing the data with a large amount of access into a high performance disk and the data with a small amount of access into a low performance disk according to various data access frequencies and feeding back data address change to the release system unit; and the release system unit is responsible for interactive control between a client and the release system unit.
