The temperature control method comprises the steps that the current opening degree of a thermostat valve is acquired; an execution duty cycle signal is generated based on the current opening degree of the thermostat valve and the influence parameters, wherein the influence parameters comprise at least one of the water temperature of an engine, the rotating speed of the engine, the air inlet pressure of the engine, the air inlet temperature of the engine and the wholevehicle speed; the execution duty cycle signal is converted into a driving electric signal for driving a direct-current motor actuator and is sent to the direct-current motor actuator; and the direct-current motor executor controls the opening degree of the thermostat valve by utilizing the driving electric signal. The temperature control system and method have the advantages that in the temperature control process, the opening degree of the thermostat valve in the temperature control system can be accurately controlled, so that the flow of cooling liquid flowing through the thermostat valvecan be accurately controlled, and therefore the working water temperature of the engine in the large and small circulation of a cooling system can be accurately controlled.
